Life is Burfict
Kenny and Pete prerecorded this episode on Wednesday, March 20th at a late ass time to talk about pro day results, week two of free agency and what energy they're gonna keep now that Vontze Burfict is an Oakland Raider.
Your Instagram Timeline needs Mediation
Touchdowns and Tangents discusses some of the NFL's biggest movements this week in free agency. They share the winners and losers as well as who else is still out there. Of course, the dynamic duo shares updates on the Rams, Chargers, Raiders and Kyler Murray. Kenny and Pete get into a heated discussion about Phuck Boi culture.
Tested Positive for Vanilla Ice Cream at the Combine
Kenny & Pete talk about the reported and then cancelled Antonio Brown to the Siberia Bills of Buffalo fame trade and what it means for the Pittsburgh Steelers draft options. One might argue the Bills would've won this deal either way. Kenny loves French Vanilla ice cream but he & Pete know Vanilla ice cream isn't really a flavor. (A rant for another time.) The fellas give some free agency and franchise tag updates and close the show dropping jewels on the falsehood of "just work hard & keep your head down" philosophy that keeps getting pushed on millenials in media, specifically journalism. Millenials suffer from permanent job insecurity and "gatekeepers" have lots of outdated advice but all the King's riches. You don't want to miss this.
Broadcast or Go to the League
Kenny & Pete deep dive into the NFL combine, free agency, franchise tags, the demise of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the human trafficking sting New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft got stuck in. We touched on other things and we found a new hood chinese spot.
That's the Pan Calling the Kettle Good
We celebrate Kenneth's 27th birthday. Pete starts the show with an empowered, justified and emotional tangent filled with righteous indignation regarding Colin Kaepernick settling his collusion lawsuit against the NFL & signing a non-disclosure agreement. We had guests weigh in on if Kaep is truly representing the people or if we wrongfully elevated him to martyr status. We don't have the answers, unbiased, culturally concise commentary. Also, please send your prayers and support to friend of the show, Alex Vejar @alexvreporting who lost his mother to stage four lung cancer.
Are Stans the Real Culture Vultures?
Kenny & Pete are back to talk Joe Flacco to the Broncos, the evolution and lineage of black quarterbacks and Pete fails horribly at beating Kenny in Fan Court (We own that & created it) over putting RESPECT on the name of Daunte Culpepper. Kenny also compares Culpepper to Cam Newton. There's talk of Kareem Hunt, the latest Colin Kaepernick news and the same embodiment of Culturally Concise Commentary embodied as intellectual petty banter. Check us out on Anchor too. Is stanning a part of culture vulturing?
I Came In at the Wrong Time Cuz this Episode was a Lot
This podcast is like when the Super Bowl is trash so you & your friends start having racial, ethnic, sociopolitical conversations about pop culture. Also, there was a Super Bowl recap, Pete hates Selena, college football news and Kaepernick updates. This was a heavy episode that opened up discussion of a panel on coalitions. More will be revealed.
What's the Impact of Your Super Bowl Rooftop Party?
On a jam-packed pre-Super Bowl with special guests from Courtside Radio, Mykell Mathieu aka the point guard aka the scorned Chiefs fan and die hard Boston sports fan Alexander Grayson Hymes aka Hymes World. Mykell tried to fan shame Kenny but just like the Chiefs defense, he couldn't get a stop when it mattered. Hymes World gave his explanation on Boston sports culture has on his lineage. Multiple callers like friend of the show Andrew Martinez aka El Jefe and newfound friend "Bob." Last but not least, resident Rams fan and host of "Ladies Night" Mysterious Jacks explained why Kenny is more than welcome & justified in his EARLY transition into being a Rams fan. He educuates with his perspective living through the Go-Go era an important leaders like Wale. He then details his love affair with HBCU culture, being an alum of Morgan State and his coverage of HBCU football players like Amir Hall and why black quarterbacks get typecasted in the scouting process. Obee goes in on the negative scouting and neglect that HBCU football players get going up to the NFL Draft. Pete calls in from a Lakers game & Kenny wraps the show with a moment of clarity an his first week of school.

The trio talked NFL Playoff seedings, College Football Bowl Season, roundtable topics, New Year's Resolutions & much more on the last episode of 2018.
Re-Gift This Broadcast
Pete finally got a solo episode. He held it down while Kenny was away in the Bay Area visiting family. Pete touched on the Josh Gordon situation, Ray Rice, Pro Bowl votes/snubs and Kenny called in. You'll wanna listen to Pete's thesis statement on the Trojan Horse that is analytics an analysis of Pro Football Focus. The show gets closed out with some sports gambling news, Mark Davis, Reggie McKenzie, Super Bowl Halftime Show Travis Scott, Kanye West and Drake.
Only Winners Get Pickles
Pete didn't get pickles on his sandwich and the fallout was aggressive. He attacks the Raiders, Kanye, Vic Mensa and more. Meanwhile, Kenny admits he was wrong about the Chargers and he is skeptical of the Chiefs and Vikings. Lamar Jackson is the starter officially and Amari Cooper is still being skeptical. Other topics include the Seahawks, college players siting out bowl games, Cam Newton, CFB awards and CFB playoffs. Kenny also has some bus stop chronicles and Eric Berry is back.
My Credit Score Gave Me Meyer's Remorse

But Did You Vote For Our Podcast Tho?
Kenny does another solo show with dead vocal cords while Pete jet sets on a business trip to New York. Pete calls in to talk about his. New York experience an you guessed it. He complained lol. They talk about voting, the transformation of Colin Kaepernick's role in social justice movements, the plight of organizers organizing an sports tangents. Kenny talks about how the Saints are a serious problem. Drew Brees is putting up video game numbers. Michael Thomas is embarrassing your defense & gloating about it. Also, a deep dive on Marcus Peters happened & KB closes the show on the serious, yet somber note.
The NCAA Vacated Our Podcast Wins
Kenny & Pete miscalculated this being the 100th episode so apologies were made & pleas were copped. Kenny went on a life saving mission at CVS equipped with cough medicine, Halloween candy, a big ass bottle of orange juice & Funyuns. Pete has a funyuns addiction. Shame him when you have time. The duo give play-by-play of the lackluster Battle of the Bay, trade deadline analysis, winners and losers, the real reason Pete hates Russell Wilson & Ciara and Kenny puts an end to the slanderous Pete claim that Paula Abdul has enough hits to even step to Ciara. Adrian Peterson is better than Earl Campbell because Kenny said so. Unofficial group chat commissioner and long time friend Andrew Martinez called in to talk Boston life, Dodger depression & how the mindset of millennial media career moves from L.A. to New Mexico, Boston & beyond.
World Series of Neocapitalist Ted Talks
The trade deadline was fast approaching at the time and the Raiders trade Amari Cooper to the Cowboys for a first round pick. Kenny & Pete run through some trade speculation on the 99th episode. Kenny finally remembers to talk about the Bubba Bolden situation at USC. It got really intense from the Chad Kelly situation in Denver, Eric Reid v.s. Malcolm Jenkins, the problems with coalitions and the case of Rae Carruth getting out of prison.

Trapped in a Cage between a Hoopty & a Hard Place
Pete was out doing the Lord's work at the CSUN NABJ Speed Mentoring event so we started a little bit late but it worked out. The Giants and Raiders are tragically awful and Pete has problems with Saquon Barkley being seen as the next big thing. Kenny swears Drew Brees is the greatest quarterback of all time. Blake Bortles and Jameis Winston are holding tbeir teams back or nahh? The duo talk a little bit about power rankings and potential trades. Kenny and Pete go all the way in on the McGregor v.s. Khabib fiasco, college football news, Todd McNair FINALLY winning his case against the NCAA and Vic Mensa gets ripped for being a bummy scumbag. The tangents were epic for episode 97.

No guests this week as this is technically the two year anniversary of the audio experience.
Couldn't Think of a Title but Last Night was a Movie

The aftermath of the Khalil Mack trade is explored after the Raiders look terrible on defense and Mack almost beat the Packers by himself but Aaron Rodgers is a bigger comeback artist than John Cena. Some surprise calls come in & Kenny goes in the Forbes most valuable college football programs list an a racist tweet from USCFootball.com scout Gerard Martinez, Serena Williams an a special shout out to the legacy of Mac Miller.

Our Group Chat is Better than You & Your Flatbread
This might just be one of the greatest prerecorded episodes yet. On a Tuesday night in Northridge Kenny, Pete & longtime friend Ryan Mancini hit up Happy Hour at the fantastic Bar Louie and then we watched BlacKKKlansman. Mancini is a CSUN alum, multimedia journalist, political science, history and unofficial historian of the Beatles and the Eagles. We discuss the film with avoiding too many spoilers and address how the movie affected all of & Lee's intent may have been. We then hit up the latest pop culture news, Trump's nefarious influence with the NFL & some epic tangents to close the show. Our group chat is better than yours.
The MisEducation of Astroworld
Due to some unforeseen technical an audio issues, the first 20 minutes were completely lost. Kenny and Pete touched on the passing of soul singer, icon and the QUEEN of R & B, Aretha Franklin as well as opening with one of the many great hip hop samples using her music. Corey Coleman whined his way out of Cleveland & karma placed him in Buffalo, aka disgruntled receiverville. Kenny & Pete goes in on the latest episode of Hard Knocks. All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey kept it 100 with his interview with GQ magazine by roasting all the quarterbacks he felt were trash and showing respect to the ones who deserve it. The stats back up everything he said. Denver fans put a GoFundMe page to get rid of third string quarterback and former first round pick Paxton Lynch. Terrelle Pryor is getting even more exposed as soft by former teammates & Pete didn't realize how legendary of a high school prospect Pryor was. The Chargers are getting healthy in the right positions at the right time. Donald Penn took a pay cut and may have solidified the Raiders offensive line by moving to right tackle. Whose improving or getting worse at the end of training camp. Lastly, the duo discuss the Maryland football abuse scandal and how it leaves a black mark on the program. Where does the most blame start when a football program has a kid die and people start getting held accountable? What can be done for the parents of Jordan McNair & how does coaching style affect kids on the lower levels of support.

Is anyone else going to get paid? More tales from the Bus Stop Chronicles. This was a prerecorded episode. Moving on sometimes sucks but the lessons you learn & the memories & people you leave behind will stay with you forever.
No Sleep in the Training Room
Kenny & Pete start off with the joint statement from the NFL & NFLPA about players not being punished for protesting during the national anthem and the power dynamic athletes have starting from high school and how it changes once they get to college or the professional ranks. They then address who did & didn't get paid. Did Le'Veon Bell overplay his hand in negotiating his deal or should elite running backs be payed for their overall value? Pete was on his petty tip. Kenny is drunk with sound board power but it's ironically justified. Greg Papa and Tom Flores was fired by the Raiders as a member of the Raiders radio hosts during game days after 30 years of service with the team. Pete is ripe with righteous indignation. Creative differences & telepathic pettiness are a lynch-pin of the 81st episode. We figured out the number. Kenny isn't a fan of their replacements

On the first ever joint show on the Good News Radio Station, Kenny & Pete link up with the fellas from Courtside Radio to talk NBA news, whose trash at 2K, LeBron in Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant, Summer League and NBA title possibilities.
