Edition of Monday, 12 August 2019
Welcome back to TalentCast after such a long time. This is the 472nd edition. My regular listeners know that I couldn’t release a regular weekly podcast, because I didn't receive enough interesting independent music to play. Today it's exactly 12 years since the first podcast of TalentCast came out, and I did receive more than enough good music in the past months to make an interesting programme for today. I would love to make a weekly podcast again. If you also want TalentCast to come back every week, I will ask you for a little favour. All you have to do, is to find TalentCast on Google Maps (maps.google.com). When you scroll down a bit, you see an option to review TalentCast. You can give some stars and if you like, you can write a little review about the project too. Because this is a one-time podcast for now, you don't have to vote, just enjoy the good independent music. All the songs are new, never played on TalentCast before. Four are by artists who have just joined the project and the other eleven songs are new releases of earlier members.

Edition of Friday, 7 December 2018
Our regular listeners might have noticed that for a long time just a few new artists and bands have joined TalentCast. Although our independent music podcast attracts still quite many listeners via podcast websites, our website is hidden away in search engines, which is the main reason why many artists and bands don't discover our project. Because of this I have decided to pause the weekly podcasts for a while, until I have fixed this issue. I still have some very nice tunes in the TalentCast archive and some new tracks which were sent by our artist members. You will hear some of these today. Among them are 2 Christmas songs, because within 3 weeks it's Christmas already. 2018 has gone very fast. Because this is the last podcast for the upcoming time, there is no voting, so relax and just enjoy the music. I will start in my home town Groningen with a jazz band which joined TalentCast last autumn. TalentCast will be back in the new year. I wish you a merry Christmas and of course a happy, healthy and musical 2019.

Edition of Friday, 30 November 2018
In this week's podcast I will play downtempo, singer-songwriters, jazz, rap and some rock. One of the songs is by a newcomer to TalentCast. It's a new collaboration between a Belgian and a Dutch artist. Quite a few votes came in last week. In about 20 minutes you will hear which song is most appreciated by our listeners of last week and is our new Song of the Week. I will start with an electronic, downtempo and chill-out solo project from Barcelona, Spain.

Last week TalentCast was all about rock. This week the music genres are varied and mainly peaceful, some of the songs are new songs I have recently received, and I am happy to have a new Song of the Week winner again. I will start with a happy tune from Poland by a 4-piece rock band.

Edition of Friday, 16 November 2018
The programme will sound a bit different than usual because I will only play rock music this time. But there are very many kinds of rock, so the music is still very varied. Unfortunately too few votes came in last week, so we don’t have a new Song of the Week winner this time. If you hear a song you enjoy, please take a short moment and vote for it. The first song of today is by a 3-piece punk rock band band from the Czech Republic.

Edition of Friday, 9 November 2018
This week there are some artists in the programme whose work I enjoy a lot. The music styles vary from relaxed to pop and rock, so for sure there is something you will enjoy too. Two songs I am going to play are new songs I have recently received via our upload page, both are by bands from the United Kingdom. The podcast is a bit longer than usual this time, over 65 minutes. When we were still broadcast on Ede FM, our podcasts were limited to 57 minutes and a half, but now we have the freedom to make it as long or short as we want. Last week's voting almost gained 2 Song of the Week winners for this week, but fortunately that didn't happen in the end. In about 40 minutes you will hear who finished that close and who else entered our charts top 3 this time. If there is a song you enjoy very much, please take a short moment to cast your vote for it. There is no registration necessary to vote and it takes less than a minute. If the song gets the most votes, I will play it next week again as TalentCast's Song of the Week. I will start with one of the new songs I received. It's the first recording of a new collaboration of 3 friends from England.

Edition of Friday, 2 November 2018
Last two weeks there was no TalentCast because of website updates and because of a technical issue: listeners were experiencing difficulties tuning in. The reason was Spotify attempting to download too many podcasts at the same time, which overloaded the small TalentCast network. Now, at the time you are listening, the complete TalentCast archive with 466 podcasts is available on Spotify in addition to all the previous platforms. Perhaps because of these technical issues we do not have a new Song of the Week winner. I hope we will have one next week. If you hear a song you really enjoy, welcome to cast your vote for it on our website. The website has changed since the last two weeks. The least popular pages are gone and the charts pages are integrated with the playlists. From now on all functions of the website can be used without a mouse and it works well with screenreaders, so it is now also accessible for visitors who cannot use the mouse, and for visually impaired and blind visitors. Today's music will vary from relaxed at first to loud rock at the end. You will hear a track from a brand new album from Switzerland and another song I recently have received from a producer from the United States. I will start in the United Kingdom with a track from Gabby Young & Other Animals who has some happy news to share with us.

Because I know I have some fans of electronic music among my listeners, I will pay extra attention to that genre today, after I have played this week's Song of the Week. I will also play one newcomer to TalentCast, an acoustic duo from the Netherlands. I will start in Denmark with a soul, jazz and pop project, and end in Poland with a 4-piece instrumental music band. Many votes came in last week and it was not easy to enter this week's charts top 3. In about half an hour I will play the number 1, our new Song of the Week.

Edition of Friday, 5 October 2018
I have a lot of varied independent music from around the globe for you, from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland and Chile. The Song the Week of this week is by a very convincing winner from Finland. I start in the United Kingdom, with a 3-piece indie, alternative and dance project, formed in 2012. I shall end with a danceable song by an artist from Switzerland, who made her first home-recorded album at the age of 10 already.

Edition of Friday, 28 September 2018
This week I have a track from a just released album for you, made by the duo that also made some of our jingles, and like last week the music is relaxing and the music styles are varied. The first song of today is the track from the new album. It's by the duo of Paméla and Chris from France – Laïxa. The last track is by the dance and electronic project of Peter Lagarde from Germany - Pluxx7MusicStudio. This was the last time TalentCast was broadcast on Ede FM. They are reorganizing their programming and TalentCast doesn't fit there any more. A big thank you goes to Ede FM, and especially Martin Both, for broadcasting TalentCast for so many years.

Edition of Friday, 21 September 2018
This week I planned a programme with many different music styles and mostly relaxing music. Not so many listeners came to vote during the last voting round, but the voting gained a new winner, a jazz band from my hometown Groningen which I played for the first time last week. First song in the programme is by a singer-songwriter from Nashville. The last song is by an electronic music composer from Finland.

Edition of Friday, 14 September 2018
I have very pleasant music for you in this week's programme. I will start with some jazz (one song is by a TalentCast newcomer from my home town Groningen), followed many more relaxed tunes. Of course I will also play our our first Song of the Week winner of this new season. The first song is from Australia, a track from the latest album of a jazz singer-songwriter, it's titled "The Bridge".

After a beautiful summer in the Netherlands, our break is over. We are back and ready to serve you your weekly portion of good independent music. Of course we are very curious again to know which song in the programme you particularly enjoy, so don't forget to vote for it before next Tuesday. This week I will only play new songs which I received during the summer break, 4 are by newcomers to TalentCast (a duo from Colorado, a project from Mansfield, a band from Grimbergen in Belgium, and a band from the north west of England), the other new songs are sent by existing members.

Edition of Friday, 25 May 2018
Because this is the last programme before the summer break, I will do it a bit differently than usual. There is no voting, you will hear some artists I haven't played for a long time, and I will only play music from a country that brought TalentCast quite some good music in the past years. It's the country of kiełbasa, pierogi and votka: Poland. One song is not from Poland, but from Indonesia, our last Song of the Week winner of this season. TalentCast will be back on Friday, September the 7th on the internet, on Saturday the 8th on Ede FM, and on Sunday the 9th on Universe Radio. Thank you for tuning in, today and during this season. I hope you will have a beautiful and sunny summer!

Edition of Friday, 18 May 2018
This is the second last programme before our summer break. We won't release new editions of TalentCast during June, July and August. This week is the last time before our break that we have a voting. Last week most of the votes came in for two songs, one by an acoustic project from Austria and the other by a country musician from Nashville. In about 35 minutes I will tell who won in the end. We have received quite a few new songs this week, and one of them was sent by a newcomer to TalentCast, a 3-person indie, alternative and dance project from Birmingham. The music genres are quite varied this time, but mainly peaceful. I shall start with a brand new song from a yet unreleased EP by a roots-pop singer-songwriter from Denver, and I shall end with a country and blues musician from Florida.

Edition of Friday, 11 May 2018
It's very warm in the studio while I am preparing the programme, and maybe that's why I have selected only relaxing music for this week. Last week's voting brought us a clear winner. She is from Canada, has released two solo albums, and an album together with her family. In about 40 minutes you will hear who that is, and who else entered our top 3. This time I will start with a country singer-songwriter from Nashville, and end in the Netherlands with a popnoir, rock and gothic jazz band from the Hague, who's latest album has got some excellent reviews.

Edition of Friday, 4 May 2018
A musician from the Netherlands and a musician from the US joined TalentCast this week. You will hear them today, together with many more independent artists from around the globe. I will start the programme with uplifting music and end with some instrumental pieces. Last week we didn't receive enough votes to gain a new Song of the Week. This week the voting almost ended with two Songs of the Week, because the difference between the numbers 1 and 2 is just one vote. In about 40 minutes you will hear how the voting closed on Monday night at midnight. If you hear a song you really enjoy among the other songs in the programme, please cast your vote for it. The first uplifting song is by a 6-piece band from Chile. The last song is by the project Earthspaces of musician and composer Csaba Gulyas from Budapest.

Edition of Friday, 27 April 2018
I have made a varied programme for you, with soul, funk, folk, jazz, pop, rap, rock and more. Last week's voting didn't bring a new Song of the Week winner for this week because too few votes (just 9) came in. One artist voted 37 times for himself, of course we don't count such votes, and of course we won't play this artist any more. Until Tuesday (May 1) you can vote for 15 songs, so if you hear a song you really enjoy, feel very welcome to cast your vote for it. I will start with a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Dallas, and end with a musician who describes her genre as visual, alternative, new wave, and experimental.
Listen: podcast - audio/mpeg

Edition of Friday, 20 April 2018
This week I made the programme a bit for myself because there are quite a few songs on the playlist I especially enjoy. Most of the programme will be filled with relaxed music. Towards the end I will play some rock. Three songs gathered quite some votes during last week's voting, and a symphonic metal project from New Jersey gathered the most. In about 35 minutes your will hear which songs entered TalentCast's top 3 this week. I really enjoy the first song. It is from Los Angeles, by the duo of Scarlet and Geoff - Merlot Embargo.

Edition of Friday, 13 April 2018
This week I will play two tracks from brand new album releases, the music genres are very varied, and many of the songs are quite far away from mainstream music. No doubts about our new Song of the Week, because this song definitely gathered the most votes. In about 35 minutes I will tell you which song it is. Today's first song is by a self-taught piano and guitar player from Dallas.

Edition of Friday, 6 April 2018
There is a lot of music to play this week, so I won't talk too much, otherwise the programme gets too long for our partner radio stations Ede FM, Universe Radio and Fame Music Radio. What a nice voting round we had last week. Quite a few songs got votes and the winner needed quite many. I will start in Finland with a song by four women who all play the same traditional instrument and sing.

Edition of Friday, 30 March 2018
Last week I have received some nice new songs from artists I have played before and one song from a newcomer to TalentCast, a hip-hop artist from Vancouver. A few of the artists and bands in this week's programme have upcoming performances. I will inform you about some of these. The music is mainly peaceful and relaxed, but the end of the programme will be loud, very loud! I will start with an Italian trip-hop band, and I will end with a brand new release by a metal and industrial band from Finland. I am getting a lot of listeners at the moment, something I am really happy about, but I hope more of you will also take a short moment to visit our voting page to vote for the song you like the most.

Edition of Friday, 23 March 2018
I will play one newcomer this time, an electronic pop solo project from Melbourne. All songs in the programme are relaxed. Towards the end I will give some extra attention to songs which are quite far away from main stream music, but of course still interesting to listen to. I will start with a Jazz musician from Paris and end with a solo project from Nebraska.

Edition of Friday, 16 March 2018
There will be no loud music in this week’s edition, but I will give some extra attention to electronic music towards the end of the programme. And ... This week TalentCast brings you even more independent music, because tomorrow (Saturday the 17th) we will have our 10th album listening session. This time you can listen to "Subcircuits", the just released album of Los Angeles based electronic music project Leaving Richmond. You will find the details about this event on our album listening session page and on our Facebook page. During last week's voting most of the votes came in for just one song. In about 25 minutes you will hear which song that is and which other songs entered our top 3. The first song I will play today is by a folk rock musician from California.

Edition of Friday, 9 March 2018
You will hear some rock in this week’s programme, but that will be closer to the end. First I will play a few relaxing tunes. A five-piece hard rock 'n' roll band from the United Kingdom, which I played for the first time last week, gathered the most votes during last week's voting. In about 35 minutes I will play our new Song of the Week. I will end the programme with a song about the rain and I will start the programme with a song about the rain. The first song is by a roots-pop singer-songwriter from Denver (the United States).

Edition of Friday, 2 March 2018
I am in the mood for some rock this time, but I know most of my listeners are not so much into loud music, so I will save it until the second half of the programme. A five-piece hard rock’n’roll band from the United Kingdom has joined TalentCast this week. You will hear them later, because I am keeping the louder music for later as said. I shall start with a composer from Nashville this time.

Edition of Friday, 23 February 2018
This week the music styles vary from acoustic singers-songwriters, to jazz, country, folk, alternative, rock and more. I enjoyed last week's voting, because the numbers 1 and 2 (a musician from New Zealand and a band from Australia) were often very close. Only in the last hours before the voting was ended, the winner was clear. In about 40 minutes you will hear who won. Two newcomers to TalentCast: An interesting rock band from the Netherlands, and a folk and country musician from Canada. But first something else: One of my favourite independent bands. They are from Romania. My regular listeners might already guess which band that is.

Edition of Friday, 16 February 2018
This week I prepared a programme in varied genres, with music from all around the globe. I start with a song in the Polish language by an independent rock band from Poland.

Edition of Friday, 9 February 2018
This week I will play you a TalentCast newcomer from Ottawa (Canada), some new songs I have recently received, and, like last week, the music styles are quite varied. This time I won't play rock at the end, but some pop songs. The first song is a new track from a 3-piece band from Norwich.

Edition of Friday, 2 February 2018
This week I got some interesting new music from TalentCast musicians. The genres are varied this time. Every month we select a new video out of the requests we receive and feature it for one month on the main page of our website. During February you can watch a video made in Mongolia, and of course I play the song also in this week's programme too. I shall start with a singer-songwriter who I have already played since the first edition of TalentCast, August the 12th, 2007.

Edition of Friday, 26 January 2018
I haven’t received any music from new TalentCast members this week, but I did receive some new nice tunes made by the artists I have already played before. Only at the very end will I play some loud music, because I know most of our listeners prefer more peaceful music. I shall start with a song by a solo musician from England.

Edition of Friday, 19 January 2018
I survived Blue Monday and received some nice new tunes, so I am ready to bring you a new programme. Quite a few bands and solo musicians joined TalentCast last week, but only two of those bands (a pop rock band from Florida and a 5-piece alternative rock band from New Zealand) sent us their music. Sometimes the last song I play doesn't really fit between the other songs, but is still interesting to play. Today's last track is like that. It's a track by an experimental music project from Warsaw, Poland. I start the programme with one of the TalentCast newcomers.

Edition of Friday, 12 January 2018
This week I want to bring you a very relaxed programme with not too much talking. Only the first song is a bit uptempo. It's a danceable song by a multicultural project from Ukraine. Last week's voting brought us very many votes, so every musician who entered this week's top 3 is a winner in my opinion. Enjoy the beautiful music. After listening you are totally relaxed.

Edition of Friday, 5 January 2018
Welcome to the first edition of TalentCast for 2018. I hope this will be a good and healthy year for you and the people who are close to you, and of course I hope this will be a great year for independent music. 2018 is starting very well, because I received quite a few nice new tunes during my short break. One of these is by a newcomer to TalentCast, a singer and guitarist from France. The musicians which I played in the last edition on December 15, before my short break, needed to be a bit patient because I will announce the results of the voting only now. I am happy with the first winner for 2018. It was their first time on TalentCast. I will start this new year with a new single release from a Dutch band - Rosa Sky.

Edition of Friday, 15 December 2017
This will be the last edition of TalentCast for 2017 because I want to take a little break. The next edition of TalentCast will be out on January the 5th. We have three TalentCast newcomers this week, including two solo artists: one is from Germany and the other is from Jamaica, and a band from Slovakia. Because it's almost Christmas, I will also play two Christmas songs. I start the programme with a song by a solo musician from New Zealand. Like every week there is a voting round. The winning song will be played in TalentCast on January the 5th, and of course many times on our partner radio station Ede FM during that week. Thank you for tuning in. I wish you happy holidays, merry Christmas, a very nice New Year’s Eve, and lots of great independent music in 2018.

Edition of Friday, 8 December 2017
This week’s TalentCast is divided in two parts. Until the Song of the Week, I will play relaxed music in varied genres. After the Song of the Week, I will play rock music. One of the rock songs is by a solo musician from Austria who I will be playing for the first time. Another song is recorded in my living room. I will start with something else, a song in the Polish language.

Edition of Friday, 1 December 2017
Two interesting rock bands joined TalentCast last week. The first one from the Netherlands doesn't really like Facebook and doesn't understand YouTube. The second one is a 4-piece psychedelic Anglo rock band from Chile. You will hear both today. A song by symphonic metal project from New Jersey (US) got the most votes during last week's voting round. I will play the winning song towards the end of the programme/podcast. This time the programme features mainly peaceful and relaxed tunes, but I will start with a happy and uptempo song by a London based band.

Edition of Friday, 24 November 2017
Last week's voting round was a nice one, many votes came in (250) and we have a clear Song of the Week winner for this week: Two cooperating musicians from India. A rock musician from Manila (Philippines), a rock and metal duo from Santiago (Chile), and a folk band from Nantes (France) joined TalentCast last week and sent us their music. You will hear them all today. The music I will play today is very varied, and I will start with the band from Nantes who has recently joined TalentCast.

Edition of Friday, 17 November 2017
This week you will hear 4 artists who are being played on TalentCast for the first time: a pianist, composer and vocalist from France, an independent singer-songwriter from Hampshire, England, a rapper from Calcutta, India, and a project which recorded an album live on the internet in a single take. I will also play an unreleased song, which is not on the internet yet and exclusively for the listeners of TalentCast, and there is much more attractive independent music in a nice mix of varied genres. I start with a Finnish musician who is just visiting the Netherlands, travelling with her piano, two guitars and PA through the country, to play shows.

Edition of Friday, 10 November 2017
This week you will hear two new artists on TalentCast (a country singer from New Zealand and a rockabilly musician from Georgia) and a convincing Song of the Week winner. Most of the music I am going to play is relaxed, only at the very end of the programme I will play two louder songs. The first three songs are by musicians from California. All of them have upcoming performances, so maybe some of our Californian listeners would like to visit one of these. The first song is by a soul singer from Santa Monica.

Edition of Friday, 3 November 2017
There are no newcomers to TalentCast this week, but that doesn't mean the music isn't interesting. The genres are varied and the songs are relaxing. Quite many people are tuning in at the moment, but not so many of you come to our website to vote. When you hear a song you really enjoy, please cast your vote for it. Today I will start with music from my home country the Netherlands.

Edition of Friday, 27 October 2017
The last song in the programme of last week was absolutely not the least, interesting because it's our new Song of the Week. I will play it in about 20 minutes. Today I have also two TalentCast newcomers for you, a folk group from South Wales, and a music producer and songwriter from Jamaica. I will play some other new tracks sent by our artists and a lot of relaxed music. This week there are a few more mainstream songs in the programme than usual. Why not, as long as they are good? The first song is by a country songwriter from Massachusetts.

Edition of Friday, 20 October 2017
Inspired by the very nice weather while preparing the programme, I will start this time with some uplifting and happy tunes. Later on I will play you some easy listening and romantic songs. If you are used to listen via headphones to TalentCast, you might notice that the recording is now more quiet during my presentation. The server (which is also standing in the studio) is now much more quiet, I replaced a noisy fan in the workstation, and I managed to reduce the buzzing sound of the tube lamps. The first uplifting song comes from Chile, and is by a Santiago based rock, ska and Latin band.

Edition of Friday, 13 October 2017
I think I have managed to make an attractive playlist for you this week, with a mix of very different genres. There are no doubts about our Song of the Week winner for this week, because almost all votes went to the same country/Americana song. You will also hear a TalentCast newcomer (a folk pop singer-songwriter from Denmark) and some new songs by our existing musicians. I will start the programme close to home, with a Dutch singer-songwriter. In you are in the Netherlands at the moment: This Sunday (the 15th) he will perform in his hometown.

Edition of Friday, 6 October 2017
This week I will play 15 songs and, as usual, they are from different parts of the world. You will hear one newcomer to TalentCast, a music project from Nebraska (United States). One of the songs is of course the new Song of the Week, which needed just four votes to win this time. I hope this week more of you will come to our website to vote. Voting is easy and takes just two clicks. This voting round ends on Monday the 9th at midnight. You will mostly hear peaceful, relaxing music in this week’s programme. I will start with some country tracks. The first song is from Nashville by a musician who has been making music already since 1987.

Edition of Friday, 29 September 2017
Next to lots of other interesting independent music, I will play tracks from two brand new album releases, "Thy Grace & Wisdom" by Belgian singer-songwriter The Imaginary Suitcase and "Straight Stories" by Dutch band Chabliz. Just like last week, the music genres vary quite a lot. Last week's voting was no close finish like two weeks ago. This time most of the votes came in for just one song by a singer who's first performance was in a karaoke bar, singing "Hero" by Mariah Carey. If you joined our album listening session of yesterday (Thursday the 28th) you will recognize the first song.

Edition of Friday, 22 September 2017
I probably sound a bit different this week, that’s because I have a cold. Because so many people are tuning in to our radio programme and podcast at the moment, I don’t want to skip a week, but I will talk a bit less than usual. The genres of this week’s songs vary quite a lot. I will play acoustic, pop, rock, blues, country, R&B and more. Two newcomers joined TalentCast, a jazzy blues trio and a pop musician, both are from Germany. Last week's Song of the Week competition was a close finish, there is just one vote difference between the number 1 and number 2. Somewhere halfway through the programme you will hear the winning song. And more is happening this week: On Thursday evening, the 28th of September at 8pm (SET) we will have an album listening session. We will host "Thy Grace & Wisdom", the brand new album of The Imaginary Suitcase from Belgium. Of course you are welcome to join, to be among the first to hear the album, and to chat about it. The first track of today is by a folk punk troubadour from Australia who is touring Europe at the moment.

Edition of Friday, 15 September 2017
It is strange that some artists join TalentCast and then never upload their music. Just one new solo musician has sent a track at the moment of the recording. You will hear him later on in the programme. This week I will start with some folky tunes, then I will play some varied genres, and the last part of the programme/podcast is as usual reserved for some rock music. Dutch listeners: If you like to meet me, Catself and Chabliz this Sunday, tune in. The first folky tune I will play is from Chile.

Edition of Friday, 8 September 2017
This week I don't have music from newcomers to TalentCast for you. Several musicians and bands joined the project last week, but at the moment of recording I still haven’t received any music from them. But I did receive some new songs of our existing members, and I set the date for a new album listening session. I will tell you more about that in the programme. Again mainly relaxed and easy listening music in the programme. I received also some nice rock tunes, but because not all our listeners appreciate rock, I will play these at the end.

The summer break is over, welcome back. I had a very nice summer break and I hope you had a nice time as well. August 12 was TalentCast's tenth anniversary day. I will start this eleventh season well, with seven newcomers, a new Videoclip of the Month, and the news of an upcoming listening session, which you can join soon. Of course, as usual, you are invited to vote for the song you like the most. Welcome to cast your vote on our website. The first song is by one of the newcomers to TalentCast, a blues rock band from Atlanta, US.

After this week, the tenth season of TalentCast will come to an end. During this season quite a few new musicians and bands have joined. Today you will hear a selection of these artists; among them, two artists who joined TalentCast last week. I will also play the last Song of the Week for this season. As solo artist she has joined TalentCast this season, although our regular listeners know her already as the lead singer of The Strands. This week there is no voting. Instead I recommend you visit our playlist of this week and check out the artists you are going to hear in the upcoming hour. I will start with a suitable song for the warm weather here in the Netherlands. It's by a project from Spain. The crew of TalentCast wishes you a nice, relaxed and sunny summer!

There are always more listeners when I announce that the music in the programme is relaxed and peaceful. This week most songs are relaxed and peaceful, only at the very end I will play some rock. Not so many of the songs in last week's programme got votes, but we have a clear winner, a self taught vocalist and pianist from York, the UK. If there is a song you like the most, this weekend is your last chance to vote before our summer break. I will start the programme at the other site of the globe, in New Zealand. I will play a track from the latest album of a funky blues rock musician.

This time almost all of the songs in the programme are down-tempo. All songs are from interesting albums, maybe you would like to check out some of them. I will play less mainstream music than usual, and I will play a few darker tracks. The first song is from London by singer, songwriter and composer who has made a fantastic album a few years ago.

I think I have prepared an attractive playlist for you. This week you will hear two TalentCast newcomers, two tracks from brand new albums, some relaxed music at the beginning, and some rock at the end. This week's Song of the Week is a convincing winner again. Far out most of our listeners voted for a four-piece band from Italy. In about twenty minutes I will tell you who won. I start the programme with a happy tune by a band from Uruguay.

This week I selected some music I personally enjoy. I will also play you two TalentCast newcomers, both are from Barcelona, and, as usual, you will hear the new Song of the Week too. Last week the votes mainly came in for a musician and full-time airline pilot from Vancouver, Canada. For our regular listeners: After this week I will only bring you four new editions of TalentCast before the summer break. This year the summer break will start a month earlier than usual, because I have a lot of maintenance to do, and I hope there will also be some time left to enjoy the summer. This time I start the programme in Barcelona with the first newcomer to TalentCast.

I have made a varied programme for you. I will play some mellow tunes, some singer-songwriters, some jazz, some rock and I will end with an instrumental piece. A three-piece band from the UK joined TalentCast last week. You will hear them later in the programme, directly after the new Song of the Week. I liked the voting of last week. Quite many votes came in for four of the songs I played. Just one can win, and in about half an hour you will hear which song it is.

I don’t have any completely new independent music for you this week, but you will hear some new songs by artists I have played before. First, some relaxed songs from solo artists. Later on, I will play some bands with louder music and at the end, an instrumental piece by an artist from Amsterdam. The first solo artist is a country musician from New Zealand.

I have two TalentCast newcomers for you this time, although the first one will not be completely new to you. It's the singer of a band I have played several times before. And yes, also this week we have a Song of the Week. You will hear who won in about twenty minutes. In the first part of the programme I will play you peaceful and relaxed music. In rest of the programme I will play mainly classic rock and rock 'n roll. I start with the singer I have just explained. Maybe you will recognize her soulful voice.

Today in the programme: Two TalentCast newcomers, some new songs we received from our artists, some news about upcoming events and of course our new Song of the Week winner. Last week's voting brought us a clear winner for this week, a country musician from New Zealand and soon also a TV host on Kiwi Country TV. Releasing music on vinyl is hot nowadays. This weekend the postman brought me a parcel with an LP in it. Today’s first song comes from that LP. Some good news for the people who prefer to download our podcast: Since this week we have a faster internet connection. From now on you can download TalentCast almost three times faster than before.
