PDSMiOS Ep 91: Evolution
This week, Aaron picked a favorite of ours, Evolution from 2001! Here's the recipe: Orlando Jones + David Duchovny + Sean William Scott +Julianne Moore x Aliens / Comedy = GOLD. In our opinion of course. This movie is a ton of fun and those effects actually don't look too bad, even in HD. So check it out if you haven't had a chance, and if you have, give it another watch!

PDSMiOS Ep 90: Fateful Findings
This week, we are joined by Josh Hollis of the Predict-O-Cast podcast (https://predictocast.com/) to discuss his favorite movie (ok, maybe I made that up) Fateful Findings! The Auteur Neil Breen has crafted a masterpiece in film, one that must be seen to be believed. And you know what? Now that I think about it, the audio of this episode is practically a tribute to the craft seen in his work!

Fanta Pineapple: SECRET ORIGINS FEATURING JENNI AND RYAN
We don't not condone the origins of this soda.
PDSMiOS Ep 89: Hellboy
This week, we made our way into the depths of hell and resurrected a beast beyond your wildest nightmares, known only to us mortals as ANGRY AARON. And what, pray tell, did we do to summon such a hideous and terrifying creature? We watched the forbidden film Hellboy of course!
Mug Root Beer: Full Fat Soda

PDSMiOS Ep 88: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
This week, we are joined by Jenni and Ryan of the Clash of the Type Ins Podcast to discuss the cult classic The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension! And guess what? We got a least 3 cult members on the cast! This is such a great mix of out of this world sci-fi goofiness and comedy that it is practically irresistible to anyone who takes a chance on it!

Red Velvet Cupcake Cookie Dough Bites Soda: It's Mia's fault
oooooooook its ok
PDSMiOS Ep 87: Robocop (1987)
This week, we are joined by the Neil and George of the Mogwai Minute podcast to talk about the 1987 art movie Robocop. Imagine a Detroit filled with crime, crime so severe that the police force, who are under paid and overworked, cannot keep up with the day to day demand. The only natural answer to the people's needs? A robot man with a large gun and stiff movements. If you like over the top violence, you probably have already seen this movie, so I'll save the sales pitch. You need Robocop. WE NEED ROBOCOP.
Romulan Ale Energy Drink: Star Trek talk anyone?
Geordie deserved better.
PDSMiOS Ep 86: The Seventh Seal
This week, we watched The Seventh Seal, and then questioned everything in the face of impending death. How good do you think Death would be at Connect Four? Because that's the only game I'm any good at.
Please check out our brand new Patreon! www.patreon.com/eartrumpet
Teddy's Old Fashioned Cream Soda: Bully!
In which Joel is very wrong about Theodore Roosevelt.
PDSMiOS Ep 85: The God of Cookery
This week, we eat some stuff and then there's kung fu and singing? There was singing in this movie too. The God of Cookery from 1996, directed by Stephen Chow and full of that great Stephen Chow humor. Food is the battle, food is the religion, food is the spirit.
Sprite Cherry: Sprite Cranberry Redux
Back in style or something
PDSMiOS Ep 84: Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me
This week, we are joined by the awesome Gena Radcliffe to discuss the quite disturbing film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. This movie is a prequel to the TV series, but not really. If you watch this movie before you watch ALL OF TWIN PEAKS, prepare to be thoroughly confused followed by thoroughly disappointed. This movie is ONE BIG SPOILER for the show, and it does not hold your hand explaining anything. It is a very well made film, and it is effecting on an instinctual and emotional level. NOT FOR THE WEAK OF HEART FOR THE KIDDIES.
PDSMiOS Ep 83: Timecrimes
This week, we purposely ran our van into a car carrying VERY SPECIAL CARGO and then relaxed by watching Timecrimes (Los cronocrímenes) from 2007. This is one of the rare episodes where we have to SPOIL the movie pretty much from the beginning, so we HIGHLY recommend you watch the movie beforehand. It's great movie, so you won't be disappointed. And if we are wrong, I'm sure you can find a way to get that time back...
Directed and written by Nacho Vigalondo
Karra Elejalda - Hector
Candela Fernández - Clara
Bárbara Goenaga - La Chica en el Bosque
Nacho Vigalondo - El Joven
Mountain Dew White Label: The Angel's Share
Please don't look up Ruby Squirt.
PDSMiOS Ep 82: Ferngully - The Last Rain Forest
This week, we watched what every one thought Avatar was ripping off, and I don't mean Dances with Wolves. Ferngully: The Last Rain Forest from 1992, starring fairies, a sexy lizard, and a sexy smog monster! This piece of animation came out in a critical Disney period, after The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, and many children of a certain age have fond memories of Ferngully and its save the planet message. In our opinions, it mostly holds up! Jam to the music with us while the forest burns down, because it feels good to shake your bat wings every once in a while!
Ferngully: The Last Rain Forest (1992)
Directed by Bill Kroyer
Tim Curry as Hexxus
Samantha Mathis as Crysta
Christian Slater as Pip
Jonathan Ward as Zack
Robin Williams as Batty Koda (We love and miss you Robin!)
PDSMiOS Ep 81: Groundhog Day
This week, we watched Groundhog Day, because damn it sometimes you just have to watch a good movie.
This week, we watched Groundhog Day, because dang it sometimes you just have to watch a good movie.
This week, we watched Groundhog Day, a time loop master class in comedy. Bill Murray is an asshole.
This week, we watched Groundhog Day, a time loop master class in comedy. Bill Murray is a man with a lot of room for improvement. It isn't until he realize that he's in love with Ned Ryerson that he is able to really change for the good.
This week, we watched a comedy and time-loop classic, Looper, starring Bill Murray and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
We watched Groundhog Day. Its really good. Please excuse the extra bumps in the audio. Our cat was on the table and like a doofus I let him stay there. Sigh.
1893 Pepsi Citrus Cola: BATMAN?!
Grapefruit in your nose hole
PDSMiOS Ep 80: Jabberwocky
This week, we watched an adventurous tale full of adventures and tales. And farts and farts and pee and farts poop butts. Jabberwocky from 1977, a film directed by Terry Gilliam. This has much of the Monty Python comedy seen in movies like The Holy Grail and Life of Brian. It is also way more of a straight forward narrative then either of those. But it all got us laughing and that's a pretty good sign for a movie.
Saranac 1888 Shirley Temple: Goblins, probably
Sweet, like a drop of honey on a piece of cheese. Bee's cheese we called it.
PDSMiOS Ep 79: Goodbye Charlie
This week, the randomizer forced upon us the well known (by a certain age group) movie Goodbye Charlie! Charlie is a rat, a fink, a cad, a gross womenizer. Likely he dies in the first 3 minutes of the movie. Sort of. When Charlie comes back to life in a different body, a REALLY different body. Charlie figures out there are few ways he can take advantage of his new "situation", and that is when things get GROSS. I mean, funny gross, but still gross.
We announce a contest in this episode! If you tweet about the podcast and include our twitter account in the tweet (@outerspacepod), you will be entered into a drawing to receive free stuff! Please listen until the end of the episode for details!
PDSMiOS Ep 78: Hell Comes to Frogtown
This week, ho boy, this week. Let me just start of by saying that this episode gets SALTY, as it is about one of the last fertile men. Yes, that is a thing in this movie. Hell Comes to Frogtown, starring Rowdy Roddy Piper, Sandahl Bergman, and a bunch of wicked toadies. The year is who knows, and all of the bombs have been dropped. In the wasteland that is left women now "run" the government. That' right, its the future democrats want. We got pretty punch drunk in this episode, but it is one of our funniest sessions yet. At least, we couldn't stop laughing.
Natural Brew Vanilla Creme Soda: Expensive tastes
Exclusive interview with Aaron Corny
PDSMiOS Ep 77: Petey Wheatstraw
This week, we are once again joined by Mr Spencer Seams to discuss his pick Petey Wheatstraw The Devils Son-in-Law, and thank goodness he did. We did not know the greatness of Rudy Ray Moore, and now we can never forget him. This movie has magic, kung fu, sexy times, and a rather long scene dealing with feces and pants. Oh yes, you should watch this movie. Rated R! For stuff.
Got any movie suggestions? Please write in to firstname.lastname@example.org
Rocket Fizz Grass Soda: Ewwww but movies
Guess what? It kind of tasted like grass.
PDSMiOS Ep 76: Nymph (2014)
This week, the randomizer gave us a dud of a film called Nymph, aka Mamula, aka Killer Mermaid (Not that the occasional dud isn't fun). With the excess of butts, occasional burst of violence, and lack of plot in this film, we still found plenty to talk about in the actual episode. Architecture! Grappling hooks! Exercise bikes! Very little about actual mermaids! We did the best we could with the material.
Directed by Milan Todorovic
Kristina Klebe as Kelly
Franco Nero as Niko
Natalie Burn as Lucy
Dragan Micanovic as Boban

PDSMiOS Ep 75: Top 5 Sci-fi of 1997 to 2006
For our 75th episode, we decided to put together our top 5 sci-fi movies of the years 1997 through 2006. It's an extra long episode, and I hope you will indulge us.
Rockstar Revolt Killer Citrus: Pick me up
Shoes. Oh my gawd shoes. We just wanted some caffeine.
PDSMiOS Ep 74: The Lawnmower Man
This week on PDSMiOS, we entered a world of virtual reality and landscaping with the movie The Lawnmower Man from 1992! Mild mannered Jobe (Jeff Fahey) becomes the lab rat of Dr Angelo (Pierce Brosnan) who really wants Virtual Reality to work out. Like, real bad. I know what you're saying, we have the Gear VR and the Optimus Rip or whatever nowadays; but back in the day? VR was just a headache with graphics on par Minecraft, if Minecraft was made by a baby. But one of themes of this movie is technology and how it seems to leap and bound every year into new territory. It's only a matter of time before YOU, THE LISTENER, are left behind.
Actually, I think the only lesson this movie has to teach us is that sometimes you just need to take your wife to the city ok?

Jeff Fahety as Jobe
Pierce Brosnan as Dr Angelo

Austin O'Brian as Peter
PDSMiOS Ep 73: The Guyver
This week on PDSMiOS, we watched the listener recommended movie The Guyver from 1991! Based on the work by Yoshiki Takaya, this particular version is about an idiot who doesn't know Aikido very well but gets a suit of bio-armor which allows him to throw around some monsters. SUMMED UP! Featuring the acting style of the cast of Re-Animator, several special effects artists, and Mark Hamill with a mustache, this beat-em-up action creature feature is almost so bad it's good. ALMOST. And for those Good Times fans out there, don't worry: JJ does say "Dyno-mite" at some point.
The Guyver (1991)
Directed by Screaming Mad George, Steve Wang
Written by Jon Purdy, based on the work of Yoshiki Takaya
Jimmie Walker - Striker

PDSMiOS Ep 72: Jurassic Park
This week, we watched the 1993 classic Jurassic Park! I am not even going to make jokes about this movie. We were joined by Scott Cherry of the Barbarian Rage podcast and We Watched It For You podcast! Please check out his work at http://www.barbarianrage.com/
Our movie next week will be The Guyver! If you have anything you want us to discuss about that movie, or frankly anything at all, please shoot us an email!
Rocket Fizz Chocolate Soda: I mean, we've had worse
Chocolate soda sounds like a bad idea, but hey! It wasn't that bad! But if that's real cocoa I'LL EAT MY HAT.
PDSMiOS Ep 71: The Mad Ghoul
This week, we find ourselves in the control of a mad doctor whose only real goal is lady stealing. The Mad Ghoul, from 1943! The story of a man who can't seem to stop breathing toxic fumes by the order of his doctor. Dr. Morris only wants Ted's fiancee after all, is that so much to ask? And so what if a few people get murdered by a ghoul along the way? This Universal Horror is a quick 60 minutes, so take a look if you get the chance! Just be sure to leave a light on, and have your herbs ready!
Next week we will be talking Jurassic Park and we want to hear from you! Write us an email or write on our facebook post, and tell us what you think of the Dinosaur movie!
RIP Choco the monkey
Stubborn Soda Root Beer: Its a good beverage, Schwarzenegger
Not safe for work, as we discuss the adult relationship between Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
PDSMiOS Ep 70: Alphaville
This week, we are joined by filmmaker Randal Kamradt to discuss the movie Alphaville from 1965. Imagine a future where emotions are outlawed and everything else is the same. No seriously, this movie is sci-fi because of a super computer and propaganda and that's about it. What one might assume is a darkly serious French noir actually seems rather silly when watching it. ART IS SERIOUS... sometimes.
Please check out our guest's movies and support his current project at www.monsterswithout.com.
Apologies for the sound quality. It was very late and I did not do a very thorough sound check.

PDSMiOS Ep 69: Wristcutters A Love Story
This week, Sarah picked one of her favorite movies for us to watch. It's a movie with a VERY off putting title, but please give it a chance. Wristcutters: A Love Story is about a lost young man, who after committing the most heinous of actions, finds himself living pretty much the same as before; just a little crappier. He goes on a road trip to find his lost love, bringing his only friend, the moody musician, with him and picking up someone unexpected along the way. It's a movie about getting on with your life after giving up on your life. And it is FUNNY. Check it out if you are looking for something surprisingly light hearted!

PDSMiOS Ep 68: Turbo Kid
This week, we barely talked about a movie we all enjoyed to one degree or another, that movie being Turbo Kid from 2015! Why you may ask, did we not talk about this gory post-apocalyptic 80's throwback awesomeness incarnate movie? Because we did not want to SPOIL IT for anyone! If you don't mind severed limbs and bloody explosions, we recommend you check out this movie right away (it is on Netflix Instant Watch in the US currently)!

PDSMiOS Ep 67: Zardoz
This week, we solve the mystery of Zardoz by watching Zardoz, starring Sean "Zardoz" Connery. Imagine if you will the far off year of 21XX (I can't remember), far after the fall of society we know live in a world of violence and savagery. Only the true Godhead, that who is Zardoz, can provide us any comfort in these brutal times. And my comfort I mean guns and ammo. Perhaps one day we will join the host in the vortex, where we can eat as much green bread as we want. Please, join me know in second level meditation.

PDSMiOS Ep 66: Anastasia
This week, we are once again joined by Joel's niece Mia to discuss her pick, this time talking up Anastasia.... kind of. Our discussion ended up being more about Don Bluth in general. This movie is special to many people, so if you love it, IGNORE JOEL. He doesn't know what's good (as he has shown many times).
- Hey y'all, Joel here. I want to apologize for the sound quality on this episode. I was sick as a dog when we recorded and I wasn't paying attention to the software, so there are many mic bumps and such. So so sorry.

PDSMiOS Ep 65: Gremlins
Hey y'all, Merry Holiday stuffs and things! We watched Gremlins because it is actually a very Christmas movie in case you weren't aware. Trees and carols and presents and depression and Santa covered in monsters! Everything you could want in an Xmas movie!
We love you guys. Thanks for all the support this year!!!

PDSMiOS SE 4: Rogue One - A Star Wars Story
This week, we could not resist a trip to the theater to see the new Star Wars, and it did not disappoint. Rogue One is action packed and more importantly, POC packed. Pumpkin pie, when used for good, can be made into a powerfully ally. But when used for evil, you get a strangely tart beverage.
PDSMiOS Ep 64: Hot Tub Time Machine
This week, we got down to our skivvies and hopped into the boiling water of Hot Tub Time Machine from 2010! Our first REAL comedy, this episode has shown that sometimes the most sci-fi you can mine from movies like this are references to other movies. If anything, it reaffirmed our love for Crispin Glover.

Stewart's Orange 'n Cream Soda: Like sticking a carbonated popsicle down your throat
You take and orange creamsicle, shove it in a bottle, fill it with bubble water, and then add sugar for taste. Like, 10 pounds of sugar.
PDSMiOS Ep 63: Beetlejuice
This week, we watched what we all consider to be a classic of the recently deceased variety, the movie Beetlejuice. In the year of our Lord 1988, that young upstart Tim Burton was still showing us what he was made of. His follow up to Pee-wee's Big Adventure was this movie, and although it took a slightly more adult tone than the former it should still be viewed through a lense of childhood joy. His plaything were these movies, these stories, and we were very lucky to experience them at the time, in their time. If you haven't seen Beetlejuice in a while, I suggest you give it a watch. Remember the things that made you laugh then, and enjoy the experience again now. AND FOR GOD'S SAKE STOP COMPARING IT TO THE CARTOON
1893 Pepsi Original Cola: Takes Me Back...
The year was 1893. Pepsi. The end.
PDSMiOS Ep 62: The Fifth Element
This week, we are joined once again by the host of the Clash of the Type-Ins podcast(http://rcveeder.net/clash/) to discuss the formative 90's sci-fi The Fifth Element. So, you may notice this episode is extra long, and the fact is, we could have talked about this movie and all it nuances (if that is a word that can be used in reference to this movie) for a few more hours. The over the top acting, the music, the accents!?!?! There is so much to pick apart and roll around in your brain.
If you love this movie, or hate this movie, write in to email@example.com and we'll read your story on the air! When did you first see the movie and how did it effect you at the time?
Sprite Cranberry: Talkin' McDonalds Characters
Sometimes a boring beverage leads to a goofy conversation.
PDSMiOS Ep 61: A Man Called Rage
This week, we took a ride on the randomizer into truly unknown territory, and ended up with the movie A Man Called Rage aka Rage from 1984. We have taken our first step into the phenomenon that was knock off Italian movies, and after this one I can say that we cannot wait for more. The cheesy music, the bad dubbing, the stunts that looked PAINfully realistic, all this added up to a bats*** good time!
If you are interested in checking out the movie for yourself, it is up for free on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDsIFDZTsh8&t=2089s
We are happy to announce we are now part of the Ear Trumpet Audio podcast network! Please check out their other shows on http://eartrumpetaudio.com/
Abita Pecan Pie Soda: Liquid pie, what could go wrong?
Abita Pecan Pie Soda: Liquid pie, what could go wrong? by Joel Torres, Aaron Cornelius, Sarah Roberts
PDSMiOS Ep 60: Ladyhawke
This week, we enjoyed ourselves by watching the listener suggested movie Ladyhawke! A true tale of tragic love, one can almost get lost in the fantasy world of the movie, and then that funky beat drops. Alan Parsons Project guitar and electronica. I cannot get that music out of my head! After watching this movie, you will believe a wolf can love a hawk.
When was the first time you saw this movie and how do you feel about it now? Please send in an email and we will read it on the air!
Arizona Cherry Lime Rickey: So this is what Brooklyn tastes like?
Rickey! Rickey! Rickey! Chris mas!
PDSMiOS Ep 59: Gattaca
This week, we get our genes rated for compatibility with the movie Gattaca. There was a lot of Ethan Hawke starring vehicles back in the day, and this was one of the best. This cast is chock full of famous people though, in case you don't like HIS face. Uma Thurman, Xander Berkeley, Ernest Borgnine, Tony Shalhoub, Alan Arkin, and of course, Jude Law. If you are looking for a heavily styled movie with a social commentary that still speaks well today, look no further.
Rogue Soda Root Beer: Small batch, lotta taste
Lots of herbs in this thing. Worked pretty well, but not sure its really a soda.
Mtn Dew Voltage: Worse than the last time
Maybe we aren't cut out for this Mountain Dew lifestyle.
PDSMiOS Ep 58: Class of 1999 II - The Substitute
This week, we step into unknown and disregarded sequel territory with the criminally under seen Class of 1999 II: The Substitute. Cody from Step by Step kick ass and takes names in the name of education, and then takes a break to peep in your window. Explosions and punches and more explosions, this movie was a lot of STUPID FUN.
Jarritos Mango: Delicioso
Been around the world, don't speak their language
But that flavor don't need explaining
PDSMiOS Ep 57: The Greasy Strangler
This week, we take care of the last of our Kickstarter pledge picks (thanks again everyone!)by watching the revolting movie, The Greasy Strangler. This is a horror movie written by 12 year olds. I mean, not really, I just mean based on the sense of humor the film displays. 2 men, 1 woman, tons of grease, a dash of murder and disco dancing, you get something barely tolerable and extremely funny. This episode is NSFW. Make sure you get your parent's permission before you listen.
Original New York Seltzer Peach Flavor: Start Spreading the News
Now this is a blast from the past I can get behind. Keep your Ecto-Coolers and your Crystal Pepsi. I am all about that sweet sweet seltzer.
PDSMiOS Ep 56: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
This week, listener Christopher Wolford selected for us a nice departure from our usual fair, the 1950s musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! Imagine, a whole generation of men and women learned all about gender politics from this movie! ...ewwwwwwwwwwwww. Join us for dancing and barn raising as we discuss this classic movie!
Orangina: Taste better than the color!
I dream of oranges that bubble in your mouth. Of a delicious beverage that tastes better that almost any other orange drink. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... mmm.
PDSMiOS Ep 55: No Such Thing
This week, Kickstarter pledge Nick Riddle gave us many options, and like fools we selected No Such Thing from 2001. This beauty and the beast tale is about as much fun as going to church. Unless you go to one of those fun churches, because it isn't as fun as that. We tested out our new recording equipment, so if this is the first episode you ever listen to by us, I apologize, there is not usually so much static noise. We will learn from this and be better next time!
Hata Ramune Melon Soda: I swallowed a marble
Hata Ramune Melon flavored soda. The marble did not stop the bad flavor from invading our mouths. I guess we don't like melon flavor.
PDSMiOS Ep 54: Wasabi
2This week, listener Andrew Lopez selected for us the movie Wasabi from 2001. This Luc Besson written action comedy shows us a darker side of Japan... and golf. Jean Reno was set up to be a badass! Then Momo has to come along an ruin everything. But here's the real deal people, if you want to see Jean Reno play DDR, this is the movie for you.
Virgil's Root Beer: Fancy Schmancy Pantsy (?)
Some Root Beers are just better. And some have a fancy bottle. THIS particular brand is a source of TRUE EVIL. Probably.
PDSMiOS Ep 53: Space is the Place
Have you heard... of the Alter-Destiny? Have you grooved to the word of Sun Ra? Have you ever considered how lucky we are that we have the music, the gift that comes from space? Am I coming through? This week, Aaron picked a treat for us called Space is the Place, a movie starring Sun Ra, made by Sun Ra. It is 90 of the most glorious low budget music sci-fi movie minutes you could dream of. Please check it out at http://www.ubu.com/film/ra_space.html
Coco Loco Lili Nut 7-Select: Jolt of Deliciousness
Special edition Jones soda from 7-11. Get you some, because it is freakin tasty.
PDSMiOS Ep 52: Armitage III Poly Matrix
This week, we take a short trip to the land of anime to watch Armitage III: Poly Matrix. Warning: While Aaron is pretty knowledgeable on anime, the rest of us are amateurs at best. Please do not throw stones at us as we pass by.
Indian Wells Brewing Co Special Reserve Vanilla Cream Soda: Jeez
Fancy fancy fancy and stuff. Cream soda made in a whiskey barrel.
PDSMiOS Ep 51: Pacific Rim
This week, we return to the ocean only to find monsters of a fiercer variety than in The Abyss. We are now in Pacific Rim, where only super ripped dudes (and one woman) can save us from them, through the power of mind melding transmorphers and Idris Alba's gruff commands. Can we hope to escape with our lives at the end of the world? Only time will tell.
Mnt Dew Baja Blast: Is it the Blastiest?
Mountain Dew Baja Blast: VIllian or Hero? You decide.

This week, Crystal Pepsi. Because you asked for it, I guess.
PDSMiOS Ep 49: The Abyss
This week, we took a trip below the waves to check out The Abyss! This really feels like James Cameron's forgotten movie and what stinks about that is its pretty darn good! Ed Harris swims in dingus freezing water while Michael Biehn cuts himself! Chris Eliiot is on a boat (not Cabin Boy) with Dr Kelso! A lady in a straw hat and overalls sings country music whilst piloting a submersible! Now that's a movie! Also, aliens.

PDSMiOS Ep 48: The Face of Another
This week, we are joined once again by the esteemed Spencer to discuss the movie The Face of Another. Imagine if you will, how you would feel if your face suddenly became horrifically scarred. How different would you act? How would you expect people to treat you? How much beer would you drink at the local German restaurant with your immoral Psychiatrist? These are just a few of the questions that can probably be answered by watching this movie.
Thanks to Spencer Seams for joining us once again!
PDSMiOS Ep 47: Zathura
This week, we randomized up the board game movie Zathura: A Space Adventure, starring Josh Hutcherson, Jonah Bobo, Kristen Stewart, Tim Robbins, and Dax Shepard. This movie tanked pretty hard at the box office, and after seeing it for ourselves, we cannot really find a reason. Sure, it's not nearly as ambitious as Jumanji was, but it was a pretty entertaining time for a kids movie. I'm supposed to be funny in these discriptions? Eh, who has the time. Directed by Jon Favreau, aka the director of Made (and Iron Man 1 and 2, and Elf)!
PDSMiOS Ep 46: Supernova
This week, we are joined by Sarah's mom to watch the 2000 sci-fi classic, Supernova. You know, Supernova? What do you mean you haven't heard of it? It's got James Spader and his abs and Lou Diamond Phillips and his abs and Angela Bassett and probably her abs but I couldn't see past all the man meat so I'm not sure. Rated R for anti-grav sex and weird alien orb fondling.
Only one show note:
-The movie Joel was thinking of WAS in fact Supernova. The reason why he thought was a different movie is because he had only seen the trailer, and the trailer for this movie makes it look like a fun romp instead of a sexy thriller. This trailer, is hot garbage.
PDSMiOS Ep 45: Big Trouble in Little China
This week, we couldn't help but cover another John Carpenter movie, this time going with Big Trouble in Little China. Join us are special guests, Ryan Veeder and Jenni Polodna, Host of the Clash of the Type-Ins podcast! Please check out their awesome work at RCVEEDER.net/clash

PDSMiOS Ep 44: They Live
This week on chicken out theatre, Joel decided he couldn't take Tetsuo the Iron Man, and so the other host acquiesced to watching the 1988 movie They Live. Directed by John Carpenter, you can't help but love the balls on a movie like this. When was the last time a movie stood up to the establishment and said "Hey! You are real ugly! Also, stop brainwashing us!"

This week, we took a trip to surrealist land by watching the short film Un Chien Andalou. And being as it is only 20 minutes long, we also watched The Running Man, because why not? Imagine if you will dreaming of ants coming out of your hand, but waking up to Arnold screaming in your face "GAAARHHHRHRRHRHH". He's here to clean up this mining town, and the guy from Everybody Loves Raymond and Doogie Howser's dad can't stop him! It's High Noon on a space station, with exploding heads and naked gyrating dancers. Best of all? ZERO G CONNERY. Peter Boyle don't stand a chance

This week, Aaron picked a special treat us called Ewoks: The Battle for Endor! PDSMiOS Ep 39: The Dunwich Horror
This week, we watched the thrilling tale of a man with a mustache and a book. Also the ultimate unknowable evil or something. The Dunwich Horror from 1970, a classic Corman movie that everyone seems to think is a snorefest but we really liked it psychedelic wackiness. H.P. Lovecraft's vision comes to life through crazy dreams, bare bodies, and snake tentacle invisible monsters. So get your Necronomicon ready and join us for a good time. Hail hail Miskatonic University!

PDSMiOS Ep 38: Hawk The Slayer
This week, we watched a movie recommended to us called Hawk the Slayer, because 1 person demanded it, and damn it we are people pleasers if nothing else. The story of a warrior and his glowing blue Mind Sword, this movie was a Dungeons and Dragons campaign come to life... sort of. Gotta give it up for Jack Palance for not only chewing on the scenery, but also regurgitating it and birding it to out willing mouths. Mmm. I feel sick now. So get your fill this week of dwarves and giants, nuns and hunchbacks. And best of all, sweet sweet bass beats.

PDSMiOS Ep 37: Repo Man
This week, Joel picked Repo Man from 1984, a science fiction movie that is really more about Punk and being Punk than anything out of this world. We were blown away by the amazing music, the fantastic art direction, and the underlying existentialism of it all. Emilio Estavez, Harry Dean Stanton, and the guy who played Joker's #1 guy in Batman. Aliens, violence, corrupted youth, car chases, what more can one ask for in their sci-fi films?
PDSMiOS Ep 36: Endangered Species
This week, we reached deep into the bargain bin and pulled out this jewel of a movie called Endangered Species from 2003. With the star power of Eric Roberts, John Rhys-Davies, and lady with gigantic breasts, you are guaranteed a quality movie watching experience. From the director of Witch Board and the Composer of A Talking Cat?!? we give you, Earth Alien!... I mean, Endangered Species!
PDSMiOS Ep 35: The Gladiators
This week, we finish out Spencer month by going mostly insane. Also, we watched the 1969 movie directed by Oscar award winning director Peter Watkins, The Gladiators, aka Gladiatorerna. Peter Watkins has a style all his own, crafting docu-dramas that deliver a socially conscience message that strikes true even today. So naturally we talked about Goldfish brand crackers.
We'd like to thank Spencer Seams for his contribution to this podcast. He has helped boost our profile and given us excellent movie to chew on, and we will never forgive him. You can follow his work on twitter at @Matt_Seams.
Notes will updated later on our Facebook page
PDSMiOS Ep 34: Stalker
This week... you know what? I am still recovering from watching this movie a week ago. Stalker from 1979, a movie about some guys who go to a place and lie down in some uncomfortable areas. Did this movie predict the coming Chernobyl Accident? Is the pursuit of God only for those strong enough to endure the mystery of existence? Do I know what I am talking about? All of these question, and more, are not answered in this episode!

PDSMiOS Ep 33: The 10th Victim
Week 2 of Spencer month. We watched a crazy cool movie called The 10th Victim. Guns and bombs and crocodiles and strip teases and sax players and tea, delicious Ming Tea. It is a really good movie, and I hope you are encouraged to watch it.

PDSMiOS Ep 32: Silent Running
This week, after months of begging, Spencer finally agreed to join us for a movie he picked called Silent Running from 1972. In it is a very helpful message about how blowing up your co-workers to save plants is a good idea! I think that's what this was about, I was busy listening to the Joan Baez tracks. It's 70s sci-fi, so you know its something special!
PDSMiOS SE3: Top 5 Sci-Fi of last 10 years
A special edition podcast, where the hosts discuss their top 5 sci-fi movies of the last 10 years, from 2007 to 2016.
PDSMiOS Ep 31: Wild Zero
Wild Zero. What. A. Movie. This week, our guest Kempo picked out one hell of a sweet rock and roll zombie movie. Apparently it is a cult classic, and if that really is the case, pass me the freakin' kool-aid because this movie was sweeeeeeet.
PDSMiOS Ep 30: Space Raiders
This week, we had special guest David (the guy who composed and performed our theme music) pick out a movie for us. He selected Space Raiders from 1983, a cheap Roger Corman produced sci-fi movie, that has bits in common with Flight of the Navigator and Saving Private Ryan. That's right, I went there.
PDSMiOS Ep 29: Event Horizon
This week, Jose joined us to discuss the movie Event Horizon. PETERS! Sorry for the jump scare folks, just making sure the edges of those seats are getting used. It was a damn fine time and some of us now have a new movie for our end of the world bunker collection!
Thanks for listening!
PDSMiOS Ep 28: The World, The Flesh, And The Devil
This week, we watched the fantastic science fiction movie, The World, the Flesh, and the Devil. Those late 50's early 60's sci-fi flicks sure were special, and this one is no exception. You should check it out if you are up for a beautifully shot, haunting tale. And hey! Who knew Harry Belafonte could act!
PDSMiOS Ep 27: Ducktales The Movie
This week, we coasted through our first animated movie, Ducktales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp. A lot of memories sprung up while watching this... mostly about how much we wanted our own giant sundae. Please join us in a proud WOO HOO while we storm Duckberg and take back our number one dime!
Warning to hardcore Ducktales fans: We are not 100% positive about this movie OR the franchise. We aren't saying its bad, we aren't saying you can't like it. We are just expressing our opinion, and you are more than welcome to disagree. Please send emails to us telling us how wrong we are and why to firstname.lastname@example.org
PDSMiOS Ep 26: The Sword And The Sorcerer
This week, we watched the movie The Sword and the Sorcerer. And I cannot emphasize this enough, YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS MOVIE. Track it down and have a good time laughing and gawking at the swashbuckling awesomeness.
We liked this movie.
PDSMiOS Ep 25: The Bishops Wife
This week, the randomizer stumbled across a classic for our perusal. The Bishop's Wife from 1947, starring the timeless, the amazing, the most handsome of men, James Gleason as Sylvester the cab driver! Oh, and Cary Grant is in it too. It is a very good movie, centered around around Christmas time but great for any evening you are looking for something light, funny, and touching. Even Aaron liked!
PDSMiOS Ep 24: Cutie Honey Live Action
This week we watched Cutie Honey Live Action from 2004. It's about a magical super heroine who inexplicably ends up nude occasionally! Not in this movie, but this is what I am lead to believe happens otherwise.
PDSMiOS Ep 23: Krull
This week Joel chose Krull as his pick, and then immediately starting complaining about it. So why Krull? I mean, it is a fantasy movie with a cyclops, sword fights, lasers, space beasts, magic, tigers, and Liam Neeson. It has something special that cannot be denied, despite being a pretty hardcore Star Wars rip. We hope you like this episode, because Joel never wants to watch the movie again, so there will be no retry.
PDSMiOS Ep 22: Her
This week we tackled the film Her from 2013. Picked by our guest Mia, this film handles relationships in a way we can all relate to, remotely through a disembodied voice. We all loved this movie, and we think you will too.
PDSMiOS Ep 21: Just Imagine
The movie this week was Just Imagine from 1930. Have you ever wondered what the future will be like? Well, this movie dares to imagine the far flung year of 1980! Personal planes! Pill foods! Swedish immigrants! So bright, Aaron had to wear shades.
PDSMiOS Ep 20: Labyrinth Part 2
Part 2 of our episode on the movie Labyrinth
PDSMiOS Ep 20: Labyrinth Part 1
A week before David Bowie passed away, we began a super long episode on the movie Labyrinth, Sarah's pick. It was a strange coincidence, and we are happy to present a tribute to a movie we love, that just happens to star an amazing performer we will never forget. Please enjoy part 1. Part 2 will be posted on Wednesday.
PDSMiOS Ep 19: R.E.D.D.
Hey, happy new year! We're back, and this week, Aaron and Joel did a short episode on the indie movie R.E.D.D. which was a fun romp all the way through. We recommend you check out! Zombies, robots, martial arts, big guns, space ships, killer computers, I could keep going for a loooong time. Check out the movie at www.reddmovie.com.
Please send any suggestions or comments to email@example.com
PDSMiOS SE2 Holiday TV
A ultra ramblin' episode where we talk our way through an X-Mas episode of the X-Files and part of a very special episode of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Ghosts! LSD! Netflix and Chill! It's got everything a growing mind needs to stay strong.
PDSMiOS Ep 18 Dark Star
This week, we discussed Aaron's pick, the movie Dark Star aka John Carpenter's first movie. There something super special about low budget sci-fi that you just can't duplicate with another genre. With a creative enough script and a series of hallways, you can make a pretty darn good movie. Check it out if you haven't, you will be in for a treat!
PDSMiOS Ep 17: Sabrina The Teenage Witch
This week, we took a shot at the 1996 movie Sabrina the Teenage Witch! Before the TV show, there was slightly pervy TV-Movie quality thing. And hey! Ryan Reynolds! He's cool right?
PDSMiOS Ep 16: Predestination
This week's episode, by request of our friend Will X, is the movie Predestination! Turns out it was not a prequel to the Final Destination movies. Huh. Live and learn. This week we are joined by our pal Jose, who had his mouth washed out after the recording. Please join us for a confusing and spoiler filled discussion.
PDSMiOS Ep 15: Save The Green Planet
This week we finally took on the film Save the Green Planet! Joining us this week is Kempo Cornelius. She picked the film for us and did an excellent job explaining all the nuances within. Please join us for a rather in-depth discussion.
PDSMiOS Ep 14: The Last Witch Hunter
This week, Please Don't Send Me into Outer Space took a trip to the cinema to catch The Last Witch Hunter before it disappeared from theaters (how convenient for everyone else). We had a jolly good time talkin' Vin Diesel and D&D. Join us, won't you? That's right Karina Longworth, we stealing your line!
PDSMiOS Ep 13: The Devil And Daniel Webster
This week, we watched The Devil and Daniel Webster. Who is Daniel Webster you may ask? Well, he was a guy. A guy who liked rum and women. I think. I don't, I saw the movie a while ago.
PDSMiOS Ep 12: Doppelganger
This weeks episode was a fan suggestion, the movie Doppelganger. It was pretty gross and pretty crazy, and frankly I think we are all scarred by it. Join us for a fun, crazy discussion!
Warning: This was a rated capital R movie, and our talk goes blue. Please keep this in mind if you happen to be one of Joel's 4 nieces or 10 nephews. Or some other child owner I SUPPOSE.
PDSMiOS Ep 11: 2001 A Space Odyssey
This is the episode about the documentary 2001: A Space Odyssey! Remember back in 2001 when we went to Jupiter? Gee, I wonder what ever happened to those astronauts? I guess we'll have to wait until the 2010 doc comes out!
This was Joel's pick, because he doesn't like having fun.
PDSMiOS EP 10: Quincy's Quest
This episode is about a TV movie called Quincy's Quest starring Tommy Steele! One of the weirdest and most entertaining movies we've seen in a long time. Christmas comes early! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgKclRDKyIc
Please send suggestions and comments to firstname.lastname@example.org
PDSMiOS Ep 9: Trapped By Television
In this episode, Joel talks about a movie. Oh the other hosts? They were busy or something. Well, Sarah watched it too, but that Aaron, THAT AARON. Anyway, its a short episode because only one person paid attention.
PDSMiOS Ep 8: Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure
Be Excellent to Each Other. Party on Dudes. Well, we got one of those right. This week, Joel, Aaron, and Sarah talk about the movie that shaped how each of them dress, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Outrageous. Bodacious. Please send suggestions and comment to email@example.com.
PDSMiOS SE 1: The Martian
Special Edition podcast about the movie The Martian! Poor Aaron was kidnapped by wild chihuahuas and was not able to join us, but we have the fantastic Jose to fill the void! Please listen to our experiment in New Movie Reviewing!
PDSMiOS Ep 7: Jungle Book (1942)
Yooooou! I wanna be like yooooou! is not something said in this movie. This is the podcast about the 1942 movie starring Sabu, and it is a VERY good movie despite having no scatting. This week it's Joel, Aaron, and Sarah talking about beautiful backdrops, great animal work, and skimming very gently over the fact that 99% of the actors are in brown face. Join us!
PDSMiOS Ep 6: Escape From New York
Sans Sarah, Aaron and Joel talk about the great John Carpenter movie Escape From New York! Please forgive Joel for his cursing, he's kind of a butthole (It's a medical condition). Please send any comments to PleaseDontPodcast@gmail.com
Death Machine Mini-sode
Miniature episode about the movie Death Machine. We didn't really have much to talk about!
PDSMiOS Ep 4: The Faculty
In this podcast, we discuss the VERY FIRST movie about aliens taking over people's bodies! Nope. Never was there one before. Even the ones they reference in the movie, did not actually exist. This was Aaron's choice, so blame him for everything!
PDSMiOS Ep 3: Parts Per Billion
Parts Per Billion, it wasn't very good.
PDSMiOS Ep 2: LFO
The movie is called LFO, and it is a MIND WARP. Really great low budget sci-fi. And hey! Our sound quality got slightly better this episode!
Directed by Antonio Tublen
Izabella Jo Tschig
PDSMiOS Ep 1: Hardware
First episode of Sci-Fi and Fantasy movie podcast, general discussion about the movie Hardware (1990). Any advice? Please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Directed by Richard Stanley
