9 We are women, hear us roar!.....and geek out!

Put your hands together and help us welcome back one of our favourite ladies Mrs. Kenickie Street!!! We loved having her on so much that we just had to have her back.

This week we talk about, well we talk about a lot of stuff actually. Let's see, we start with weird female body hair, breasts, weird female body hair on breasts, Saturday Night Live, celebrity gossip and we wrap things up in a neat little package with a very angry rant about Gamer Gate, which in turn leads to another angry rant about human rights. This particular wine and cigarette fuelled podcast could have gone on for hours but sadly we had to cut it short.

After the episode if you feel the need to rant, either about human rights or weird body hair, you can do so by sending us an email at hysteriapodcast@gmail.ca or tracking us down on twitter at @hysteriapodcast. We can also be reached individually, I am @eightbit_me, Jenn is @irk_and_ire and Kenickie is @kenickiestreet.

This week's music is 50ft Queenie, courtesy of PJ Harvey and our Intro/Outro music is thanks to Brad Gulka (@bradmezmo)

Thanks for listening!

We discuss harassment and weddings and then some other stuff that neither Jenn nor I can seem to remember as a lot of wine was consumed during the making of this podcast.

So if you enjoy any of those things or you just love the sound of our sexy voices, join us! We are masters of aural pleasure.

Afterwards though maybe you can send us an email and tell us what happened. 5 Breaking Up is Hard to Do

Ice cream, wine and Sleepless in Seattle, the classic tools necessary to help get you through a break up. Well that may not be the case any more. In the new age of Tinder and 'concious uncoupling,' how people handle their relationships is changing.

In this weeks episode Jenn and I share what we think are the standard stages of a break up. 3 Fantastically Funny Females

Over the years we have heard countless people say that women are not funny. Well my friend, we are here to tell you that frankly, we don't give a damn what you think. In this week's episode we talk about women in comedy. We will share our favourite stand up comedians and other funny ladies that leave us ROFLing and LOLing and in my case, smacking my husband (yes, something was so funny I smacked him but I do not condone violence. Smack with your words.).

2 Fiery and Feisty Fictitious Females

We grew up alongside these girls and women. We learned from them as we read their stories and watched their lives on screen. Now that we are older we are proud to say that these characters helped shape us into the women we are today.

This week Jenn and I talk about some of our favourite female characters from books, movies and television. This was an insanely massive undertaking and we only managed to cover a smidge of some of the great female characters in existence but we talked about a few of them that are near and dear to our hearts. Jenn talks about her love for the Golden Girls and I talk about my obsession my dystopian YA fiction. We talk about the badass females of the Whedonverse and who our first favourite female influence was.

Music this week is a snippet from L7's The Masses are Asses.

Enjoy!

Intro/Outro Music courtesy of Brad Gulka
