Episode 44: Wits
<p>Brand new segment testing our nature knowledge and how we would survive in the games is debuted. News stories include a hint at a new trailer and coverage of the KCAs. Chapter 18 of Catching Fire is discussed, as always questions come up. Does Katniss' family really believe she is pregnant? Episode 42: Make Some Friends
<p>Since it’s award season we got a few announcements in that category, along with some other Catching Fire movie news such as new posters. A mini review of Jennifer Lawrence's most recet movie, Silver Linings Playbook is featured. Chapter 16 of Catching Fire is analyzed where we are introduced to more tributes such as Beetee and Wiress. We ask ourselves if tributes that have modified their body through surgeries are allowed enter the arena in that state, or is that considered an unfair advantage? A review of the new iOS verison of Hunger Games Adventures video game is featured. We wrap up the show with a song, some listener emails and a new twist to the book recommendations.</p>

Episode 41: Fatniss
<p>In this Valentine's Day episode we feature one of our favorite special segments, Hunger Games Dating Game, where we portray anonymous HG characters on a dating game show. We cover Catching Fire news as well as a few awards won in the fandom. During our discussion of Catching Fire Chapter 15, we are introduced to many new victors including Finnick. We analyze Katniss and Finnick's relationship. We question why Chaff didn't accept a prosthetic arm. Would Darius and Katniss had a romance if she hadn't been a tribute? Would Katniss and Peeta have ended up like all the other victors as a celebrity if only one of them had made it out of the arena alive? We feature a fanfiction that takes place on Katniss and Peeta's first date. To end the show we relate a romantic song to Finnick and Annie's relationship.</p>

Episode 40: Zing!
<p>News stories center around Jennifer Lawrence's big week with awards, nominations, and hosting SNL. Francis Lawrence (Catching Fire Director) and Sam Claflin (Finnick) shed some light on how Finnick will be adapted to the big screen in an interview. An interview also revealed insight on how Francis Lawrence and Woody Harrelson (Haymitch) are developing Haymitch's character in the Catching Fire movie. While discussing chapter 14 of Catching Fire, we discuss the 50th Hunger Games including the relationship between Haymitch and Maysilee Donner. In the segment, Dark Duels, host debate on which character, Madge, Beetee, or Greasy Sae, would win in the arena against each other.</p>

We discuss a few more parts of the movie including the score in our music segment. News includes records the movie broke, a possible rumor about Gary Ross and Catching Fire and more. Some emails sent in brings up interesting questions such as if Fox Face commited suicide eating the Nightlock berries. The main focus is reviewing the new companion book, The World of the Hunger Games, which brings up a couple good points and quotes from Suzanne Collins herself about how she used Latin to name the country Panem and other aspects of the book. As always we end the show with some book recommendations such as The Maze Runner.

At the begining we play a montage of interviews we conducted of fans at the midnight premiere. We go through the movie in chronological order while commenting on how it was adapted to screen. </p>

The Official Illustrated Guide is discussed and mentions some new information where we give our opinion whether to buy it. The Tribute Guide is also dissected with all the new information. Our song featured on the episode is Eyes Open by Taylor Swift which is on the Companion CD, District 12 and Beyond. We mention our top 5 most anticipated scenes and conclude the show with our regular book recommendations.</span></p>

<p>We finish discussioning the first book by analyzing the last chapter. A fram-by-frame analyze of the TV spot with footage from district 12. Other breaking news includes a Katniss barbie doll and video game set to release as well as what record the Hunger Games has already broken. <p><span>We discuss some big news stories including the cast touring US cities, Safe & Sound music video, a new HG video game, some new TV spots as well as other news. During our chapter discussion w</span><span>e bring up the topic of if it was a sin to kill Marvel, Cato or both. Do they have religions that would make them think it was a sin? </span><span>We also wonder if Katniss would have been able to kill Peeta when it came down to the two of them. If she had to kill Peeta would her life be better dead and regretting killing Peeta or dying with him. We point out the theme that if you look at life through a different perspective, it can be better. Peeta is a role model for not changing who he is because of society. We also </span><span>argue</span><span> what color nightlock berries are. A song is featured that really represents the Hunger Games and the chapters we discuss. Lastly we review the photos in the Official Hunger Games Companion. It is a fun packed episode!</span></p>

Some news includes new </span><span>advertisements featuring three characters and a new website from Lionsgate. While analyzing Chapters 23 and 24, it comes up why families have kids when they know they may have to face the reaping? Is it a form of population control from the Capitol? Was Katniss' first act of rebellion saying "watch this Effie," followed by licking the plate clean? We discuss if it is a sin to kill in the games. We imagine how Lionsgate will create the Tracker Jacker scene. Tune in for this special Valentine's Day episode. </span></p>

Some topics included how America is obsessed with reality TV and the message Collins is trying to send through the series.
