<li>Don't join a gym, hit up the local parks and sports parks, get off the train one or two stops earlier and walk.</li>

Anthony "The Crank" Goes to Yobuko to Eat Squid

Just got of the Skypes with Anthony "The Crank" and he was nice enough to share some of his pictures from a trip to Yobuko in Karatsu, Japan. <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/search/yobuko+karatsu+japan/@33.5177251,129.9543141,11z" target="_blank">Yobuko</a> is famous for one thing and one thing only....SQUID! Otherwise known as "Ika" イカ in Japanese. </div>

<span style="text-align: left;">I have also had the pleasure of going to Yobuko on several occasions and have to say that if you want fresh delicious Ika, Yobuko is the place to go. Basically, the way it works is that the staff grabs a live squid, cuts it up a bit, puts it on a plate while it's still moving, squeezes lemon on it and it changes colors. Next you eat the Ika sashimi (raw squid) for a while, and then when you are ready to make tumpura fried squid with the remaining parts of the squid you didn't eat.</span></div>

So, I found some of the missing episodes and uploaded the unedited files to Archive Dot Org for safe keeping. <br />

The plan is to edit the audio a bit and put them into the Podcast Feed so you will get them on your iPhone/iPod/Whatever way you listen to Podcasts. <br />

After a little bit of homework and a quick order from Amazon, I have been able to get my Japanese Nintendo Famicom to work on an HD TV in the United States!! All I needed to do was purchase an RF adapter that came with the US Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). I think it cost like $12 shipped to my door. </div>

After reading about how to connect up the system most of the articles mentioned that the power from US sockets might be too much (some say it IS too much), and that you would need something to setup down the power. While other said, no problem what-so-ever. My past experience told me that their "appears" to be enough range built into most Japanese electronics to get away with it. </div>

After playing the system for an hour I can say that it didn't feel hot at all. Now that said, I think I will always unplug it when I am not playing it, and of course never leave home with it plugged in (@_@)..... </div>

Now the only problem I have is that I only have one game! Of course it might be the best game ever for the system, Super Mario Bros 3. I think the next time I head to Japan I will bring back a bunch of titles, or perhaps search E-Bay for some good titles. </div>

When in Rome do like the Romans.......When in Japan, at McDonalds, do like the Japanese do. This extra part of the trash can is for you to dump your remaining drink and ice, and then recycle your cup. I am not sure why they do the cups, but the extra drink and ice makes sense. Nothing worse than leaky garbage bags. The cups are made of paper so I wouldn't see a problem with them being in the trash, but hey that's just me. </div>

Recently I have been on a JPop kick, kind of remember my first few years studying Japanese in Hawaii, and also the first few years I lived in Japan. One of the groups that stood out for me was Puffy AmiYumi. I put the full name but in Japan they are just known as PUFFY (Sorry PDiddy LOL). The coolest thing about them was that they were kind of a relief from the normal overly produced JPop music machine. Also, I was able to actually find their CD on sale at a music store in Hawaii, so they helped me study Japanese. Well.....at least get my ears used to hearing the language. At the time I really didn't understand shit, but with a dictionary and a pen and a pad.....I started my journey with the Japanese language.
So, while I was stuck in the hotel room the other night, I watched a whole lot of Puffy AmiYumi videos, both old and new. It just so happens that they have some new music coming out (New Single: Datsu Dystopia). So I thought it would be cool to talk about them on the blog. While watching a bunch of videos I ran into a live cover then did, that I had never heard and really caught my<br />
ear.<br />

<b>Owaranai</b> = The negative form of Owaru which means "finish", "end", or "over".<br />
<b>Uta</b> = Is "song"
