AGP#120 – Netflix Genesis Evangelion with Dawn, Part 1
To celebrate Neon Genesis Evangelion being available legally in the US for the first time in about a decade, Evan and David sit down with Dawn (a.k.a. Usamimi) of the Anime Nostalgia Podcast for an in-depth discussion of the legendary 1995 anime series and movies, covering the show's themes, some of their favorite episodes, the new translation, and more. The episode ran so long that we had to split it in two. This one has most of the main (spoiler-free) discussion, while the second episode has the questions segment and the spoiler segment in which we discuss our thoughts on the ending(s). Topics include: karaoke deep cuts, David's MMA friend, and the original TV Tropes. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #035 – Barakamon
Looking for one of the cutest stories about a tortured artist? Look no further than Barakamon, which focuses on a professional calligrapher (who knew?) who butts heads with the Tokyo art crowd and is sent to live on a remote island to cool his head and refine his art. Doesn’t sound cute? Just wait until you meet the village brat Naru … not to mention an entire cast of characters so charming of course you’ll only find them in fiction. Jared and Ink discus the values of fluff, how they relate to some of the story lines, and more! Barakamon is currently streaming on FUNimation.com.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/Mm_UH-BmIeM" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP Special Episode: Kyoto Animation
In the aftermath of the tragic arson attack on Kyoto Animation that left 35 people dead, the Ani-Gamers staff — Jared, Ink, Evan, and David — get together for a discussion of the studio’s work. We also read and respond to comments from our Discord group about the KyoAni shows that had a big impact on our listeners. After we recorded this episode, KyoAni released official donation information here: http://www.kyotoanimation.co.jp/information/?id=3075 . We highly recommend you give some money if you can afford it (Evan donated via TransferWise).<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/SnSj9UaDBYg" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#118 – Ani-Gamer Boy Bath Water
Evan and David check in with some news about the Nintendo Switch Lite and some thoughts on the 2018 Switch drumming game Gal Metal, the 2004 Gunbuster sequel OVA Diebuster, and the 2004 TV anime Samurai Champloo. And yes, the biggest news of all is that David is watching anime again! Topics include: Tak Fujii name-searching, MOMRPGs, and the Ani-Gamered Podcast. NOTE: This episode was recorded shortly before the horrific apparent arson attack at Kyoto Animation, so we don’t cover it in here. Expect some discussion of it in an upcoming episode. Oldtaku no Radio #034 – The Transformers: The Movie
The Transformers toy line is legendary, and the car-toon it inspired was hugely popular with many of the kids growing up in the '80s. But when one set of toys outwears its welcome in the marketplace and a new set of toys is ready to be sold, there remains a question of transition. The answer is a HUGE animated movie showcase that surprised just about everyone who saw (and heard) it. Bringing together familiar TV voices and some serious star power (Orson Welles, Leonard Nimoy, and Eric Idle to name a few), 1986's The Transformers: The Movie brought The Transformers to a new plane with more intense visuals, more mature subject matter, and a linear story unlike anything seen so far in the TV series. Join Jared and Ink as they talk giant (transforming) robots as well as the movie's inspirations and influences with none other than Patrick from The Cockpit.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/UbKdOKcQqIw" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#117 – In Loving Memory of E3 2019 with Nathan Grayson
It’s an overstuffed E3 recap show as Evan and David are joined by Kotaku’s Nathan Grayson (@Vahn16) to look back at the press conferences and announcements from the game industry’s big annual event, including the Breath of the Wild sequel, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Elden Ring, Halo Infinite, Watch Dogs Legion, the Xbox Scarlett, and the rise of streaming game services like Google Stadia. We had a bit of a recording SNAFU, so Nathan sounds like he’s calling in from a tin can in space, where he may or may not have just met Master Chief. Topics include: Microsoft Excel on Xbox, a very special wake for E3, and “one more thing.” Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #033 – Keijo!!!!!!!!
Get ready for Jojo’s Bustzarre Assventures as Jared and Ink talk about the 2016 sports parody Keijo!!!!!!!! by Xebec with special guest Basil from OSMcast. This shonen parody, which adapts a portion of Daichi Sorayomi’s manga (alt title: Hip Whip Girl), centers around a fictional sport wherein girls in bathing suits do battle atop different floating stages in a pool using nothing except for their butts and boobs. Don’t worry; we haven’t dove off the deep end – there’s quite a bit to muse on and laugh about regarding this amusing series. Listen and find out!<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/WEXdWH4zL0k" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Get ready for lots of talk about everyone’s favorite subjects: depression, loneliness, and dysfunctional family relationships! Then Evan recaps FanimeCon 2019 and the state of panels at the San Jose, CA convention, and talks about the Old Boy manga. AGP#114 – Detective Pikachu and Accountant Charmander
It’s a double-feature movie night as David talks Detective Pikachu and Evan talks Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection (spoiler warning for the original Code Geass, but we don’t spoil the movie). Are the realistic Pokémon disturbing? Is Code Geass still as lovably dumb as we remember it? And in the questions segment, the hosts dish out some advice for aspiring anime, manga, and game reviewers. Topics include: Pokémon or DJ name, Kallen did nothing wrong, and the McDonald’s Fish o’ Fillet. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #032 – Girls' Last Tour
Originally meant to accompany our PEZ episode for a grand, post-apocalyptically themed episode, we're talking about the whimsical despair that is Girls' Next Tour! This anime features Takaharu Ozaki adapting Tsukumizu's manga (which we also discuss! ...briefly) about two friends, Chito and Yuri, exploring the world into which they've been thrust by war and trying their best to survive its fallout. This show is slice-of-moé solemnity at its best ... or worst. You decide. (We just talk.) Spoilers are woven throughout our commentary, so we advise you to check out Girls' Last Tour, currently streaming on HIDIVE, before listening. Although like all good road trip movies, the value of experience lies in the journey and not the destination.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/heav1vA_xrY" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#113 – Just Don’t Get Hit
It’s a sad episode as Evan and David discuss the death of legendary manga artist and Lupin III creator Monkey Punch and the retirement of Nintendo of America President and de-facto Nintendo mascot Reggie Fils-Aime. Evan’s also catching up on anime and games — specifically Aggretsuko and Kirby’s Adventure (NES) — while David is getting his From Software fix with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. On that subject, the hosts jump into the recent conversation around difficulty and accessibility in games surrounding Sekiro. Topics include: don’t cancel Reggie, Zelda is a Mario game, and leaving Netflix to autoplay Carole & Tuesday. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! David is back on the mic to talk TAX NEWS (specifically the alleged tax evasion of Ufotable’s president) and his secret tryst with Granblue Fantasy. Then Evan talks about his return to The Witcher 3 and his week at the Game Developers Conference, including: game worker unionization; sessions about animation, accessibility, and censorship; and the experimental controllers at Alt.Ctrl.GDC. Topics include: the God Damn Convention, the Dark Souls of LED strips, and bring your own teabags. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #031 – PEZ Manga and Denpa Interwiew
We're talking this episode about Hiroyuki Asada's PEZ – a small, full-color manga with big heart, impact, and presentation – published and distributed in the USA by Denpa LLC. For something a little different, we are also excited to be able to talk with the Denpa's Ed Chavez! The interview is a lot longer than the review, but it does also touch on PEZ as well as the stateside manga publishing biz and other fun bits. AGP#111 – Four S Gridman with Patz and Tom Aznable
It’s another long one as Evan is joined by Patz (@PatzPrime) and Tom (@TomAznable) of The Cockpit Podcast to review Studio Trigger’s 2018 anime series SSSS.Gridman, based on the 1993 tokusatsu series Denkou Choujin Gridman, a.k.a. Gridman the Hyper Agent, a.k.a. Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad. This episode has two separate spoiler sections, one for things that happen after episode 2 and another for the ending, so keep an ear out for those! And in a very appropriate question segment, the trio answer how best to avoid spoilers when reviewing something. Topics include: hacking your toaster, Baby Dan Dan, and staying hydrated. The episode is mostly spoiler-free, other than a section at the end marked by a handy spoiler alert. David sat this one out, but fear not, he’ll be back soon. Oldtaku no Radio #030 – Record of Lodoss War (OVAs)
We're d-elvin' deep into some serious fantasy nerding with The Record of Lodoss War OVAs, which are base on a novel series based on a D&D campaign published in a magazine back in 1986! Joining the party on this, our epic quest, are the goodly gentlemen from All Geeks Considered: Vinnie and Diego! (Ink is definitely the acrobat in this episode.) Then the hosts talk about the anime and games they’ve checked out recently, including the Resident Evil 2 remake, Apex Legends, Psycho-Pass, and Armitage III. Topics include: all history derives from Resident Evil 4, what if they made the whole game out of the Reaper, and Naomi Armitage’s ridiculous costume. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#108 – Best of 2018 with Ink and Jared
In the first full Ani-Gamers/Oldtaku no Radio crossover episode, Evan and David are joined by Ink and Jared from their sister show to list off their favorite anime, manga, and video games of last year! This year there’s a twist, though: Evan has imposed a time limit on each title, so the boys will need to stay under time while still heaping praise on their favorite titles. Also there was some alcohol involved, so you may notice some things get a little ... slower as the show progresses. Topics include: lowercase straightedge, Masaaki Yuasa vs. David, and Hellshake Yano sakuga. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#106 – Super Smash Boys
We recorded this episode way back when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate came out but Evan’s holiday travel pushed it back a bunch! In this episode, Evan and David convene to fight each other in Smash (guess who won) and discuss the latest entry in Nintendo’s crossover party/fighting game. In the news segment, the hosts cover the announcement of the Saint Seiya CG series and Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama’s Ghost in the Shell CG series, and for the audience questions they discuss etiquette when interviewing anime creators. Topics include: the damn Duck Hunt can, Bowsette palette swaps, and too many Fire Emblems. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! After exploring a bit about how this property came to be via the general leanings of its creators, we dive into each of the OVAs as they are presented (non-linearly). Oldtaku no Radio #027 – In This Corner of the World
Adapting the original manga by Fumiyo Kouno, MAPPA's In This Corner of the World depicts the life and times of people in Kure and Hiroshima during World War II. The show's protagonist – an easily-distracted, artistically-inclined, young woman – marries into a family in a nearby city. The audience watches her grow from child to young woman to wife – all behind a transparent theater of war that doesn't so much raise or lower but focuses perspective on a humanity often overlooked. Don't blink; every detail of this animated adaptation is the direct result of the director's absolutely immersive (one might argue obsessive) research into this historical fiction's places and people. In This Corner of the World is currently streaming on Netflix.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/tYyus5weeRg" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#104 – Lucio Healing Manga
David finally started playing Overwatch, so the boys convene to talk about their favorite and least favorite characters. Plus, Evan talks about the two manga he’s been reading (Pink and Is Kichijoji the Only Place to Live?), and there’s some news about Netflix’s upcoming anime productions, a surprising new Mari Okada movie, and that dang K/DA League of Legends video. And of course, this is our first episode with our new Ani-Gamers Patreon! Topics include: roboscoping, Mercy gets all the credit, and Piranha plant feet. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #026.5 – Flowers of Evil
Hiroshi Nagahama's anime adaptation of Shuzo Oshimi's Flowers of Evil manga is infamous among anime fans for its art and pacing choices, but does it deserve the vitriol? Join Ink, Jared, and special guest (and horror movie expert) Chris from Taiiku Podcast as they examine the similarities and differences between the manga and anime as well as the portion of the manga that didn't get adapted. This episode's a true Oldtaku dive; lengthy takes on scene composition, art style, atmosphere, character development, and concepts abound! If you've yet to see the series and want to check it out prior to out spoiler-heavy discussion, or have already listened to us and are drooling to get started, go check the 13-episode series out on Crunchyroll.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/tZFeRSd4Pe8" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#103 – Three Ways To Say FLCL With Dave Cabrera
Returning guest Dave Cabrera from Kawaiikochans joins Evan and David to discuss the two FLCL sequel series, Progressive and Alternative. We cover the differences between the two series, how they interpret the themes of the original, and whether or not it's worth it to watch past season 1 of FLCL. And of course, it wouldn't be a FLCL discussion without multiple pronunciations of the title, and we cover the whole spectrum, from F L C L to Furi Kuri to Fooly Cooly. Topics include: the puberty alien, Urusei Yatsura light novels, and Jared Leto Haruko. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #026 – The Dragon Prince
There are some pretty high expectations for The Dragon Prince given that it is the brain-child of Aaron Ehasz (head writer for Avatar the Last Airbender) and Justin Richmond. Thankfully, this fantasy-set tale of unlikely allies from different halves of a war manages to capture the charm of ATLA while forging a mostly different world populated with very round and refreshingly diverse characters. Join Jared and Ink as they chime in on the storytelling, the art, and the magic of first season of The Dragon Prince – currently streaming on Netflix.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/Ek0InECYPx0" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Then it’s time to talk about Spider-Man PS4 and the PS1 Spider-Man game that David has been playing (Evan forgot to talk about how Spidey is a cop but he definitely is a cop). Oldtaku no Radio #025 – Dead Leaves
Imaishi Gone Wild! After all the mentions on previously published podcasts, we're finally, on this first day of Autumn 2018, releasing our Dead Leaves podcast. Get it? (We knew you would.) This proto-TRIGGER production is a visual smorgasbord of sex and violence with a fairy tale structure and American comic book stylings. This divisive title, one of the first upon which Ink and Jared disagreed, has a lot to appreciate and, depending upon your predispositions, a lot to bemoan or celebrate. Oldtaku no Radio #024 – Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer
There's no denying Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura — a school-set, shounen rom-com that leverages a love for mythology and puns — is a staple of manga and anime history. Beautiful Dreamer, the second Urusei Yatsura movie, proves that a tiger indeed can change its stripes. But is it for better or worse? Oldtaku no Radio proudly welcomes Anime Nostalgia's Dawn to help us flesh out all there is to enjoy about this second movie and discuss what works and what doesn't for long-time fans as well as newcomers to the property.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/FVaQLyoEDi0" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Oldtaku no Radio #023 – Wolf Children
You don't have to be a furry to get a warm fuzzy or burst into tears from Mamoru Hosoda's Wolf Children. This two-hour movie follows the life of a young woman named Hana as she moves from adolescent to mother to working widow. As emotional as Jared and Ink were while watching, both sit down to pick apart just how the movie accomplished its emotional manipulation as well as discuss some of the more outstanding strengths and weaknesses of plot, characters, and art.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/9DUqA5W67o4" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Bonus – No Need for Dippin' Dots at Otakon 2018
Another Otakon, another cacophonous gathering of anime personalities. This year Anime World Order hosts Gerald Rathkolb (@Gerald_AWO), Clarissa Graffeo (@ClarissaG), and Daryl Surat (@DarylSurat), The Cockpit’s Patz (@PatzPrime) and Tom Aznable (@TomAznable), and Corey Proft (@Modandrocker, formerly of The BME Podcast) join Evan to talk about the guests, the fan panels, and ... the abortive alt-right rally in Washington, DC. We recorded around a single microphone so we apologize for the messy audio. Also, this episode is a bonus because we're still working on recording the official Episode 100! Trust us, it’ll be worth it. Topics include: visionary creator Shoji Kawamori, Tenchi Muyo incest, and Dippin’ Dots. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #022 – Robot Carnival
Anthology films — feature-length presentations comprised of multiple, stand-alone stories — afford their contributors great artistic freedom and, quite often, crucial visibility. Robot Carnival, which was initially released mid-1987, gathers some names you have probably heard of before, but for many, this was their debut. Including the bookend animation (a worthwhile story/anecdote in its right), there are eight installments centered around the loose theme of "robots," and Jared and Ink dig into each of them. (Spoilers via plot point run rampant, but enjoying these stories does not hinge on plot.) Join us as we talk for nearly the length of the anthology about the components thereof: their themes, their strengths and weaknesses, and how they complement each other and contribute to the overarching theme as it builds piece by piece.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/hMYOis7ncpI" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Oldtaku no Radio #021 – Ergo Proxy
Airing wayyyyyyyyy back in 2006, Ergo Proxy is the story of a bored, privileged emo girl (Re-l) and her flamboyant autoreiv companion, Iggy, in an oasis cursed to be both cradle and catacomb. Romdo is a domed city and, to its inhabitants, the last viable living space on an otherwise toxic planet. But there’s an influx of immigrants from the outside world seeking refuge, a disease sweeping the robotic residents (autoreivs) that’s making them gain consciousness, and an unknown monster threatening the daily comfort of the bourgeoisie. Join Jared and Ink as they look at all this dystopian future sci-fi series as we look at the themes it touches upon; if it conforms to, bends, or breaks certain genre touchpoints; and just how gosh-darned pretty it still is. (Seriously, folks, if you love a moody-as-f*ck anime written by a wordy philosophy/theology major, this is your jam.)<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/5sqsIl7OI-A" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Kids on the Slope sees Cowboy Bebop's Shinichiro Watanabe (director) and Yoko Kanno (music) adapt Yuki Kodama's manga about youths in 1960s Japan (Kyushu) who find each other and themselves through jazz. As MAPPA's first production, KoTS needed to make a splash. Its musical performances, VA work, art, storyboarding, choreography, characterization, and soundtrack make it an anime of legend. Find out what went into making this insanely enjoyable anime and what hosts Jared and Ink as well as guest Alex Osborn got out of it. Oldtaku no Radio #019 – Miss Hokusai
Not a lot is known about O-ei, Katsushika Hokusai's third daughter, and that's what makes Miss Hokusai less an interesting biopic than dramatic historical fiction. This movie, which adapts Hinako Sugiura's original manga, paints a portrait of an artist in vignettes and brings to light a historical figure who lived in the shadows for a good deal of her life. Daughter, sister, artist, woman – Miss Hokusai crafts how O-ei is defined and grows by integrating nods to her work and her father's with intimate moments that made her who the mangaka wanted her to be today. We've included some links to easily Google-able reference materials in the show notes, and we strongly urge you to check those out if you dig the character and historical figure as we now do.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/lvJcsJVpmc8" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Oldtaku no Radio #014 – Kino's Journey (2003)
Released in 2003, the first Kino’s Journey anime is an episodic affair that centers around an AI-imbued motorad named Hermes and its rider, a traveler named Kino. They visit country (town) after country and stay no more than three days at a time to observe the inhabitants and their customs. The series, based on a series of light novels (…no wait, keep reading!), offers settings not bound by any solid sense of chronology; countries can combine such disparate genre elements as sci-fi and Western, and the differences between countries can also make them seem centuries apart. Kino’s Journey is one of Ink’s favorite anime, and Jared just watched it for the first time. Find out what we have to say and then maybe go grab yourself a copy. (The sale Jared and Ink refer to during the episode is over, but the show is still a steal at $20.)<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/bc06DuWlYbo" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Oldtaku no Radio #010 – Spice & Wolf
It's time for Old Spice & Taiikuwolves! For episode ten of Oldtaku no Radio, Jared and Ink are joined by Kory and Chris of the Taiiku podcast to talk about the mostly beloved anime Spice & Wolf. And don't you worry, this ain't just a Holo fancast; some surprising revelations come up in the discussion that will really make you rethink the series and BEG another watch. We were a bit crunched for time, so my usual nitpicky audio editing was not fully employed, but I think we still sound easy enough to fall asleep to. But just in case a serious discussion about an anime mainly driven by dialog and that revolves around mercantile economics isn't wiley enough for ya, we have some group howls too. Listen in and sing along. (We kept the episode fairly spoiler free, but be warned we did not have any specific spoiler section this time around.) Oldtaku no Radio #009 – R.O.D. (2001) OVA
Produced waaaaaaay back in 2001, R.O.D. (Read or Die), directed by Koji Masunari, revolves around special agent Yomiko Readman (a.k.a. "The Paper") and her allies at the British Library as they try to obtain and protect a book that, in the wrong hands, could lead to the end of all human life on Earth. This OVA is, despite only being sixteen years old, a classic among classics...but why? Is it the pulpy superpower of the protagonist? the magical realism of daring-do? the dreaded pirate moé? Listen to Jared and Ink as they banter about and stumble upon what makes this bookworm's tale-turned-spy thriller so impactful.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/URNuaSzrNPk" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Oldtaku no Radio #008 – your name.
Because we were not invited to the cool podcast (actually, we recorded this before the AGP), the Oldtaku crew and special guest Scott Spaziani recorded our own your name. podcast. Scott and Ink are seasoned Shinkai viewers (both have panels on the director that they present at cons), and this is Jared's first exposure to the cloud/foot/loneliness director extraordinaire. We kept the first half free of spoilers by discussing themes and technique, but the second half contains spoilers galore to dig into the meat of the movie. So continue on while keeping in mind that watching a Shinkai movie is more about experiencing the journey than knowing plot, but your name. does employ elements that are better experienced unadulterated the first time around.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/9dKjBYXJ4a0" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#077 – It’s Your Name! We’re Swappin’ Bodies!
Yes indeed it's time for Evan and David to talk about Makoto Shinkai's smash hit film Your Name (Kimi no Na wa). Spoiler alert for those of you living under a rock (also spoilers for 5 Centimeters Per Second). Everybody else, expect lots of serious discussion of the themes and execution of the film, as well as whether or not the characters actually bang (we've gotta stay on brand). Oldtaku no Radio #007 – Golgo 13
For episode double-o-seven, Jared and Ink train their sights on the 2008 anime adaptation of a seinen classic: Golgo 13. This super-expressionless super assassin has become legend, but why? What is the secret behind Duke Togo's staying power? Is it the length of his barrel, the cock of his rifle, his prowess in hitting the G-spot, or the uber-ridiculousness of the whole gun fantasy/power trip? Oldtaku no Radio #006.75 – 2017 Anime Winter Wrap-up and 2017 Spring Fling
Welcome to Oldtaku no Radio’s first official B-side. In the anime season lulls that happen between regular OnR episodes, we lightly blather about what shows we stuck with – what worked and what didn’t and why – from the past season and try to make predictions as to what might hold our interest or earn our ire in the upcoming season. We have a decisive (if only a smidge divisive) winner for our Winter 2017 affections, but there are also other mentionables as well as detestables. Looking forward, we have a bit of fun with the Spring 2017 ani-charts in a segment we’re calling “No Theater.”<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/HwWKmCZBh9s" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

Plus, existential questions about Mario, an intervention for Evan's lack of 2-D attraction, and tips on getting into Gundam. Oldtaku no Radio #006.5 – Samurai Jack (Part 2)
In 2001, Genndy Tartakovsky's Samurai Jack stunned audiences with ambitious and beautiful visual storytelling, a mostly stoic hero, and perhaps the world's best (if not most lovable) villain. Samurai Jack ran for four seasons (52 episodes) but was cut down in its prime. This Emmy-winning cartoon, which had a largely episodic structure (save Jack's building frustration), sadly never got to finish the tale of the samurai. Films were teased and planned, but sadly nothing panned out … until recently. Samurai Jack returns as of March 11, 2017, and we at Oldtaku no Radio cannot be more ecstatic. In celebration, we're taking a break from analyzing Japanese cartoons to analyze an American one … that just so happens to draw inspiration from/references, among other things, Japanese film directors, animation, and culture. For the second half of our Samurai Jack episode, special guest Kate (Narutaki) of the Reverse Thieves blog/podcast joins us in squeeing over and wringing the most we possibly can out of a fantastic cartoon from the early aughts. This installment covers our favorites and flubs for Seasons 3 & 4 as well as what we're hoping for in Season 5. As the creators grew in competence throughout the series, so our analysis grew not only in insight but silliness. (Hey, this was a 3+ hour podcast.) Listen and comment. But most importantly, watch Samurai Jack!<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/Req1fUW4Z7k" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#073 – Kemono Friends Is a Big Mess
Because we're always very good at staying topical, we recorded an episode a week before Genericon but waited until the Genericon was mostly over to release it. Whoops! Oldtaku no Radio #005 – The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Not only is OnR Episode #005 the first time we focus on a movie, namely Mamoru Hosoda's The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, but this is also the first episode in which we host a most honoured guest: (exiled) Ani-Gamer turned UK Anime Network podcasting star, Elliot Page! Hosoda's directing was the lure for Jared, who'd previously not seen this particular title, while Ink and Elliot reveled in an emotional re-watch. And, of course, reflective analysis on the philosphical, emotional, and artistic elements abounds from all. Tackling anime first, then manga, then games, the four hosts cover everything from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure to Overwatch as they celebrate a year of some pretty good nerd stuff. Oldtaku no Radio #004 – Moribito Guardian of the Spirit
We've passed the three-episode mark! (Has Oldtaku no Radio passed your test?) In Episode #004, we talk about the 2007 anime series Moribito Guardian of the Spirit (Seirei no Moribito), which is based on a young adult novel by Nahoko Uehashi and combines animation production via Production I.G. with the directorial hand of Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell SAC & 2nd Gig, Eden of the East). This is a re-watch for both hosts, and the p(l)ayback shows in both our enthusiasm for all the things we talk about as well as everything we forget to expound upon. While this may not qualify as a classic at 10 years of age, Moribito is definitely an epic (in all meanings of the word) – one you should watch if you find any of our excited babble the least bit intriguing.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/jq0i9Dn6No8" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

It's a whole new year, and your favorite soft (or are they spicy?) podcast boys Evan and David are back in front of the microphones to talk about the nascent Winter 2017 anime season and a bunch of old stuff they're catching up on. First up is the new Fate/Grand Order anime, followed by Mirror's Edge Catalyst, the Bakemonogatari light novels, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Final Fantasy IX. Oldtaku no Radio #003.5 – Au Revoir Autumn 2016, Bonjour Winter 2017
We were planning on lightly touching on the saving graces and disappointments of the Fall 2017 anime season before talking about Moribito for our official fourth episode, but with so many titles to comment on, we ran a little long. After noticing the clock, we decided tack on our thoughts on which Winter 2017 anime we are looking forward to and record the whole things as a separate podcast. Much silliness, including some dramatic readings of plot synopses, ensued, and much fun was had. AGP#070 – "Ai City" Doesn't Meet the Password Requirements
Upon request from the Anime World Order Podcast, Evan and David decided to watch the 1986 anime film Ai City, which is a tremendous mess of 1980s anime tropes and unintelligible storytelling. And to help with the brain-melting task of interpreting Ai City, they brought along their college buddy Stephen. For better or for worse, this podcast accurately reflects the experience of sitting in a dorm room with the three of us talking about an awful '80s anime. Before we get into Ai City, though, we discuss Fate: Grand Order, Dishonored, and Drifters. And in the questions segment, Evan gives tips on how to learn more about animation technique in anime. AGP#069 – Can You Bang the Honda Accord?
After a month of holding back, Evan and David are happy to finally release Episode 69, the NICEst episode of the Ani-Gamers Podcast yet. The hosts go over the usual anime/manga/game stuff, including Pokémon and Yuri!!! on Ice, before getting into the meat (heh) of the show: Nitroplus and Gen Urobuchi's 2003 erotic visual novel, Saya no Uta (Song of Saya). It's a pretty disturbing piece of Lovecraftian horror, so naturally it was Evan's first eroge ("erotic game," for those not familiar with the anime lingo). Topics include: Honda Accord Simulator, soft podcast boys, and the crushing despair that is American politics. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! Oldtaku no Radio #001 – Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju
Welcome to a brand new monthly podcast, Oldtaku no Radio, hosted by Ink and Jared here at Ani-Gamers. This new cast spun off an impomptu recording by the aforementioned hosts after they hijacked the Ani-Gamers Podcast proper to review ReLife, but now it's its own monster. For their first official episode, Ink and Jared talk at length about the Winter 2016 anime Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju. Adapted from Haruko Kumota's josei manga, this show largely follows the turbulent friendship of two sibling-like orators as they train&nbsp;through times of hardship, prosperity, war, and love. The anime is discussed in great detail, so there are plot spoilers. Rest assured, however, that there is no spoiling THIS anime; it's even better the second time around! AGP#064 – Cannon Busters, Under the Dog, and Eating Contests at Otakon 2016
Evan and David went to Otakon 2016, but David got an early train out of town, so Evan had to settle for a huge supergroup of podcasters and bloggers in this post-Otakon show. Also this episode sounds better than ever thanks to a tweak in David's mic placement and a wired ethernet connection on Evan's end (thanks Kenneth Perry for donating to David's GoFundMe for just that purpose, you're a true hero)! Topics include: sakuga/cours sympathizers, real-life Team Rocket, and Studio Trigger performance art. Also featuring David's nephew making a lot of noise in the background. AGP#061 – The History of Anime and Anime Fandom with Helen McCarthy (AnimeNEXT 2016)
David didn't make it down to Atlantic City, NJ for AnimeNEXT last weekend, but Evan did get a chance to sit down with a living anime legend: Helen McCarthy (@tweetheart4711), founder of Anime UK magazine and the author of the first (or first two, depending on who's counting) English-language book(s) about anime. Included in the podcast is the full interview, in which Helen walks Evan through her early exposure to anime, the state of anime fandom when she first began writing about it, and the importance of preserving the artistic history of anime. David and Evan are surprisingly topical this episode! Evan's been playing the Overwatch Beta and Firewatch, David's been playing Melty Blood, and they've both been watching Space Patrol Luluco. AGP#059 – Fish Heads and Erased with Bill Zoeker
Evan managed to convince David to watch Erased, so this episode the hosts sit down with freelance video producer Bill Zoeker (currently working at Crunchyroll) to talk about the popular anime series. Having an extra person on the show and having a series with so much to talk about resulted in us going WAY overtime, so this episode is almost two hours long! Topics include fish tails vs. fish heads on a mermaid/merman, the power of #branding in Shadow of Mordor, and whether the weird age differences in Erased are more or less OK than the one in Garden of Words. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice gets some hate at the top, followed by OpenToonz, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Fire Emblem: Fates, Final Fantasy XIII, and a little bit of Erased. Topics include: Mr. Lord of Rings, Galeforce (a.k.a. the greatest handgun ever made), and Fire Emblem's tendency to be lookin' like Goku. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#057 – Inferno Cop v Dinosaur: Dawn of Justice (Genericon 2016)
Just when you thought it was time for us to get back to our regularly scheduled programming, both of our hosts went back to their old college anime/sci-fi/gaming con, Genericon, which Evan was once the chair of. (Evan Minto, by the way, is our absent-minded host who forgot to introduce himself this episode.) We got a chance to sit down with Nick Grippo, the Public Relations Coordinator (Evan's old job!) and Guest coordinator for the convention on Saturday night, the busiest night of the weekend. Topics include reverse Chinese foot-binding, the legend of Genericon's baked beans, and Brony terrorism. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#056 – Ninja Slayer Catches 'Em All at Katsucon 2016
Katsucon 2016 was quite a show, with a Saturday fire alarm, lots of hotel vandalism, and a snowstorm at the tail end that left the Crunchyroll team stranded in DC for a day. Luckily, that meant that there was time to record a special Ani-Gamers Podcast episode featuring Evan, Crunchyroll's Danika Harrod (@danikaharrod) and Sam Wolfe (@_samtaro), and Space Opera Satellite's Patrick (@PatzPrime). Plus, we got a brief visit from Ninja Slayer co-author Phillip "Ninj@" Morzez! Topics include scratch-and-sniff arcade machines, the legend of Vic Mignogna's fire alarm-pulling antics, and drunken Pokémon fans. Keep in mind that the CR folks (Evan, Danika, and Sam) are NOT speaking as official Crunchyroll representatives here, so the opinions they express do not represent Crunchyroll or its affiliates. GME! Anime Fun Time Episode #17 – Memories (1995)
REPOSTED FROM THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER! PODCAST: Just in time for Valentine’s Day, it’s the latest episode of GME! Anime Fun Time, in which Tom, Evan Minto of Crunchycast, and I tackle the 1995 animated anthology film Memories, which is based on a series of short. science fiction manga penned by Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of Akira. Evan and I gush about the amount of technical skill and talent assembled for the film, while Tom is less enthusiastic, since two of the three segments left him cold.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/LxX0NEvEzNA" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#055 – Super Mario 64 Petting Mini-Game
Somehow David and Evan manage to spend another half hour talking about Fallout: New Vegas and Final Fantasy, but after that the hosts discuss the removal of some controversial Fire Emblem: Fates features in the English version, Evan shames David for being an idol-liker, and they both trade thoughts on the Shuzo Oshimi manga Inside Mari. Topics include bangin' mini-games, literal objectification in idol games, and our favorite anime VHS tapes. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#054 – Why Do Guns Have to Exist?
Despite our assurances that this would be a short episode, it still ended up being nearly 50 minutes long! Some of that is spent discussing timely anime subjects like Erased, Lupin III, and Dagashi Kashi, but there's also some video game talk (more Fallout and Final Fantasy) and then a bunch of gaming-centric listener questions. Topics include "possibly one of the worst anime seasons in recent memory," ill-advised compilation albums, and the glory of Robert E. O. Speedwagon. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#053 – The Imperfect Insider
We're back in our first episode of 2016 with a mix of light novels (Kizumonogatari), video games (Fallout: New Vegas and Final Fantasy VI), and anime (The Perfect Insider). Topics include the anime-only lifestyle, embarrassing Zelda confessions, and the best damn OP animation of 2015. Listen until the end for a Kizumonogatari giveaway! AGP#052 – The Violence AND the Banging
To make up for last episode's audio issues, we recorded a slightly longer one this time, featuring a bunch of video game talk (including more Battlefront) and, yes, anime. Topics include banging the wrong person, Metal Gear Solid references, the moneymaking power of Anime Lesbians, and anime burnout. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#051 – A Cry Jam Session
We promised a new episode every two weeks, so, uh, please don't be angry that this episode is a little messed up. Audacity skipped every couple of seconds for most of the recording, but Evan scavenged what he could. In what's left of the episode, David and Evan discuss hilariously long Fallout: New Vegas quests, melodramatic crying in the AnoHana live-action drama, and a tiny bit of Star Wars: Battlefront (you'll need to buy the DLC for our full opinions). Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#050 – A New Beginning
Would you look at that, we hit 50 episodes! It only took us... seven years! To celebrate, we're aiming to put out episodes more regularly, though if you've been listening long enough you know to never trust any Ani-Gamers Podcast-related promise. This time David and Evan sit down to talk about what they've been up to lately, which includes being behind on the Fallout series, disappointed in Ninja Slayer, and confused by the new Ghost in the Shell movie. AGP#049 – The REAL Mako (AnimeNEXT 2015)
Evan flew back East for AnimeNEXT this year, and he figured he'd mark the occasion with a now-rare treat: an actual podcast episode. Our guests include a bunch of super-cool folks you may recognize: Ani-Gamers' own Ink (@AnimatedInk), Anime News Network writer and prolific con panelist Mike Toole (@MichaelToole), longtime translator Neil Nadelman (@docsane), and returning podcast guest Patrick (@PatzPrime) from The Cockpit. Topics include: cool '80s anime Future Police Urashiman, Studio TRIGGER guests, English-speaking Japanese animator Aya Suzuki, the inherent superiority of East Coast anime con panels, and "ancient" anime conventions from before the year 2010. We tried recording this using two different portable recorders, and we think it came out pretty listenable. Show notes and links after the break. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! The Anime Now! Podcast 15: Aldnoah.Zero Part 2
REPOSTED FROM THE ANIME NOW PODCAST: Here’s your review of the second half of the series Aldnoah.Zero, featuring the debut of Evan of Ani-Gamers, Otaku USA and Crunchycast! Click HERE to download the episode or on the key art above. While still not without its flaws, we find plenty to like in the second half, with a more focused story renewing our opinions of this anime for the better. We discuss Slaine’s story arc, make suggestions for how to visually cue up some of the story’s more understated elements, and struggle to pronounce Asseylum’s name correctly. Ass-see-lee-um? Ass-elee-um? Oy. You can watch the entirety of Aldnoah.Zero on Crunchyroll. AGP#048 – Writing About Anime & Manga (Anime Destiny 2014)
After being a guest on Mike Toole (@MichaelToole)'s "Writing About Anime for Fun and Profit" panel at Otakon 2014, I hosted a similar panel at tiny college con Anime Destiny back in December. The guests are Nate Ming from Crunchyroll News and the Crunchyroll Newsletter and YouTuber Nick Robinson (@Babylonian), formerly of Revision3/Fandom Beat, Anime Vice, and Unwinnable. Topics include how to get noticed, our inspirations, and the importance of puns. Evan's not&nbsp;flying back to New Jersey for&nbsp;AnimeNEXT, but he did&nbsp;attend&nbsp;FanimeCon 2014&nbsp;in San Jose, CA. In this podcast, recorded on the fourth and final day of Fanime, Evan sits down with his&nbsp;Crunchyroll&nbsp;coworkers and arch-frenemies, Victoria Holden (@SailorBee) and&nbsp;Danika Harrod (@DarlingDaniChan) and cosplay photographer Ben Lam to talk about the con. Topics include Kill la Kill cosplay,&nbsp;Anime Hell, anime triathlons, and the "flipping off Evan" meme. This podcast was recorded in a hotel lobby, so the audio has a lot of background noise. It's been three months, but we're back!&nbsp; This time Evan and David talk about anime that's just old enough that you no longer care enough to be angry about it and video games so old you don't even remember them anymore. Topics include failed superheroes, poorly timed apocalypse stories, interminable space brotherhoods, hyperactive tennis clubs, magical glasses, fascist high schools, frog rappers, and the profound pain of game development. Crime Scene Investigations #005: AnimeNEXT 2013
[REPOSTED FROM THE REVERSE THIEVES]&nbsp; This is a bonus segment of the Speakeasy Podcast we like to call Crime Scene Investigations. These are random bonus podcasts that we record live from various events. There is no regular schedule for these. We will put them up as quickly as we can when the opportunity for one occurs. We suspect they will mostly be from conventions but we might work in some interviews and conversation from NY events as fate allows. The great&nbsp;Robeast&nbsp;that was&nbsp;AnimeNEXT&nbsp;2013 could not be slain by a single podcasting mecha. It required the effort of an elite team of podcasters in combining lions to handle an event like this in the forsaken land of New Jersey.&nbsp;Evan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Ink&nbsp;from the&nbsp;Ani-Gamers podcast&nbsp;formed the legs.&nbsp;Vincenzo&nbsp;and&nbsp;Vince&nbsp;who were not only staff but also are part of the&nbsp; All Geeks Considered&nbsp;podcast formed the arms. Pirate ANNCast: Otakon 2012
For years we have languished under the oppression of our ANNCast overlords (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/anncast/), who refuse to even record a podcast at the East Coast's largest anime convention, Otakon. So, with the help of our fearless captain Ed Sizemore (http://mangaoutloud.com/), an intrepid team of Otakon pirate podcasters &mdash; including our very own Evan Minto &mdash; have hijacked the Anime News Network's famous podcast to talk about Otakon 2012. Unfortunately the audio recording is one iteration away from Alvin Lucier's "I Am Sitting in a Room" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Sitting_in_a_Room), but I guess it's in keeping with the pirate theme. This includes the Muv-Luv visual novels, Black Jack (manga), Mars (manga), Bodacious Space Pirates, Spelunky, and The Dark Knight Rises (yeah it's not anime, manga, or games, but we keep the discussion of it to a minimum). Reverse Thieves: Crime Scene Investigations #003: AnimeNEXT 2012
REPOSTED FROM THE REVERSE THIEVES: In this edition of Crime Scene Investigations, we talk about our experiences on Sunday at&nbsp;AnimeNEXT 2012. The podcast contains the opinion of Hisui from this very blog (but no Narutaki who is too cool for you anyway), VamptVo and Ink from the AniGamers, and The Digital Bug from Reisen Goes to School by Bus all in one roundtable discussion. There are Bronies, Bluebirds, Interrupting Cows, and Rudolf von Stroheim. As always we have lots of good things to say as well as some constructive criticism. Also seriously: What was up with people at panels this year? Is courtesy no longer common? This is a bonus segment of the Speakeasy Podcast we like to call Crime Scene Investigations. Reverse Thieves: The Speakeasy #030: Preferred Lies, The Codependent Relationship of Fans and the Industry
REPOSTED FROM THE REVERSE THIEVES:&nbsp; For a long time now, a seemingly unusual relationship has existed between the anime and manga fans and the industry that brings anime and manga to us. Fans just as often foster a healthy relationship with these companies as they go out of their way to maliciously hurt them. The anime and manga industry have the same beautiful but painful courtship with their fanbase. In this episode, we muse on how both sides treat each other. Phillip (http://twitter.com/eeeperschoice) from the Eeeper's Choice Podcast (http://eeeperschoice.com) came on the help us talk about this complicated issue. Can the industry and fans be friends? AGP#038 – The Evangelion of Anime (Madoka Magica Review)
What? Huh? What's a podcast? We're not even sure anymore. But luckily David Estrella is here to help re-discover the true meaning of podcasting in the latest episode of the Ani-Gamers Podcast. Unfortunately, he doesn't help our host Evan Minto remember to introduce himself. Whoops! In this episode, we talk about crying anime girls, genre deconstructions, and spurious voice acting performances as we tackle the hugely popular magical girl anime&nbsp;Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Don't worry if you haven't seen the show &mdash; we've separated our spoiler talk into a separate section of the podcast after the outro song. This time we are joined by Evan Minto from the Anigamers podcast and Genericon staff to talk about--PER HIS REQUEST--the notoriously disliked Sword for Truth by Osamu Dezaki and Akio Sugino. AGP#037 – Spicy Wolf, Made with Real Wolf!
What's that? SIX MONTHS? Well, if you listen to the Ani-Gamers Podcast, I guess you're probably used to super-long waits by now. Anyway, we're back, and we're starting off the year 2012 with something very timely and totally not recorded in the spring of last year: a review of the 2008&nbsp;Spice &amp; Wolf&nbsp;anime with Evan, Ink, and&nbsp;THEM Anime Reviews' very own Bradley C. Meek (themanime.org). Prepare for economics, wolf girls, and&nbsp;infuriating mo&eacute; shepherds. That, plus a few mild spoilers, but there honestly isn't much worth spoiling in this show. (Check the show notes for timecodes if you're really spoiler-phobic.) We're also trying out some new intro and outro music, so we would appreciate some feedback on those from our listeners. AGP#036 – Experts of Fan Controversy
Featuring: Alex Leavitt (Dept. of Alchemy), Chris Beveridge (Mania.com), Ed Chavez (Vertical, Inc.), Jennifer Fu (Comparative Media Studies at MIT), Clarissa Graffeo (Anime World Order), and Ada Palmer (Tezuka in English) Yes, yes, I promised a review of Spice &amp; Wolf for this episode, but Alex Leavitt has forced my hand by politely requesting this long-overdue recording. That's right, get ready for ANGRY ARGUMENTS, because this is Experts of Fan Controversy (Anime Boston 2011), in which anime fandom "experts" face off on major issues of the day, including piracy and translation accuracy! OK, let's be honest here: there isn't actually much controversy or anger in this panel, but it certainly has lots of very useful insights into the workings of the anime industry and fandom. Plus it's got points. And who doesn't love points? Show notes and links are coming soon, and cross your fingers for that Spice &amp; Wolf episode next time! Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#035 – Trying To Keep This Short (Lies)
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Bradley C. Meek (themanime.org), InkTopics: Reading E-mails, What'cha Been Doing? Been fighting back withdrawal symptoms due to the lack of Ani-Gamers Podcasts of late? Well we're back to help you out, now that my crazy semester is finally over. Will we continue to put out episodes in any timely fashion? We sure hope so! Anyway, this episode features Ink as a co-host once again, but it also features Bradley C. Meek, who's been trying to get on this podcast for months. (We were happy to have him, but I had to find time to record!) Next episode, Bradley, Ink, and I will be discussing the Spice &amp; Wolf anime. That should be up within the next week or two. AGP#034 – Still Talking
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Elliot Page, InkTopic: "What'cha Been Doing?" After a ridiculously long break between episodes, we're back with a 100% Ani-Gamers staff episode (i.e. both co-hosts are Ani-Gamers contributors). We discuss the anime, manga, and video games we've been checking out in these last few weeks, including Ink's Anime Secret Santa pick, Fate/Stay Night. Plus, in the last fifteen minutes or so, Evan and Elliot have an in-depth discussion of the wildly popular indie game Minecraft. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#033b – Daryl Talks Mass Effect (Part 2)
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell Dyer, Daryl Surat (Anime World Order)Topic: Mass Effect 2 (2010) and expectations for Mass Effect 3 We're back with more Mass Effect talk, this time with a discussion of Mass Effect 2 and 3 (which isn't out yet, though that doesn't stop us from spending a good portion of the episode on it). By the way, SPOILERS. Seriously, don't say I didn't warn you. If you've got something to say about Mass Effect or our opinions thereof, do let us know through the comments or e-mail. AGP#033a – Daryl Talks Mass Effect (Part 1)
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell Dyer, Daryl Surat (Anime World Order)Topic: Mass Effect 1 (Mass Effect 2 and our expectations for 3 are in part 2) We've got Anime World Order's Daryl Surat with us this episode to talk about the science-fiction action-RPG series Mass Effect. In part a, we talk about the first Mass Effect game ("Mass Effect 1" for clarity), touching on the parts we both liked and didn't like in both the storytelling and the gameplay. While I mentioned that the episode would have a lot of spoilers, this first part is relatively spoiler-free in terms of plot twists. However, we do discuss the meta-game a bit, so if you'd rather not know that, listen at your own risk. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#032 – The Art of Active Viewing (ANext2010)
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Karl "Uncle Yo" Custer, InkRecording: A panel called "Fandom &amp; Criticism: The Art of Active Viewing" at AnimeNEXT 2010 This episode isn't quite a typical Ani-Gamers Podcast episode, in that it's not a couple of geeks chatting on Skype about silly Japanese cartoons or video games. Instead, this is a recording of a panel that I ran with Uncle Yo and Ink at AnimeNEXT. The audio quality isn't great, so I apologize upfront for that. (And yes, Uncle Yo had to leave before the end without saying a word, which I forgot to mention in the podcast's foreword.) If you have any feedback regarding the episode, though, feel free to let us know in the comments or at our e-mail address we'd love to hear you chime in on this interesting subject! Bonus – E3 2010, Sony Press Conference
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Elliot Page, Chris "Kit Inaka" ColalellaTopic: Sony press conference @ E3 2010 For what is most likely our final E3 podcast, Evan and Elliot are joined by Ani-Gamers blogger Kit to discuss the outcome of Sony's press conference. We also throw in some thoughts on how each of the big three did against each other. Who's the winner? Well, you'll have to listen to find that out! As with the last two episodes, this one doesn't have much in the way of editing. Additionally, we don't usually do these bonus episodes, so we'd love to get your feedback on them. We discuss The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii), Kirby's Epic Yarn (Wii), the 3-D capable DS successor, the 3DS, and Kid Icarus: Uprising, a new game on the 3DS. AGP#030 – Code Geass (a.k.a. Pepperoni Hotdogs in the Pizza Crust?!)
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Hisui &amp; Narutaki (ReverseThieves.com) Topic: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (both Season 1 and R2) (2006) In part two of the Reverse Thieves' podcasting extravaganza, I chat with them for a lengthy hour-plus podcast about the 2006 TV anime Code Geass, from studio Sunrise. The show, a modern take on the classic 50-episode Sunrise mecha formula, follows the events of a political and military revolution, masterminded by the exiled prince Lelouch Vi Brittania. We get pretty in-depth regarding the series, so a massive SPOILER ALERT is in effect throughout the episode. AGP#028a – The Greatest Podcast on Earth, Part I
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Frederik L. Schodt (jai2.com), Ed Sizemore (mangaworthreading.com) Topic: Comparison of all versions of the Astro Boy story "The Greatest Robot on Earth" (original manga, 60s anime, 1980 anime, 2003 anime, and Pluto manga) In a last-ditch effort to release a podcast for Osamu Tezuka Month, I recorded this episode with manga translator Fred Schodt (author of The Astro Boy Essays, translator of Astro Boy and Pluto) and manga reviewer Ed Sizemore (Manga Worth Reading), featuring an in-depth discussion of the Astro Boy story "The Greatest Robot on Earth" and all of the adaptations thereof. The episode was quite long and I wanted to get something out before the end of the month, so this is only the first part of the show. In it, we only get to two of our discussion topics: Astro's fateful decision to increase his horsepower and the dichotomy between the philosophies and depictions of Dr. Ochanomizu and Dr. Tenma. In addition, there's a quick announcement of an Ani-Gamers Podcast contest at the end of the episode, so stick around to find out how to win some fabulous Tezuka-themed prizes, courtesy of Vertical, Inc. AGP#027 – Sucks? Or Is Spectacular?
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell "MitchyD" Dyer, Knuckles Dawson (AchievementHunter.com) Topic: What'cha Been Doing? This just might be the silliest, most off-topic episode of the Ani-Gamers Podcast, as Mitchy and I discuss anime and video games (mostly the latter) with gaming journalist Knuckles Dawson. Just when you thought our discussion of the dubs for Dragonball Z and presence of robot dragons in Escaflowne couldn't get any more sidetracked, we include gems like an in-depth analysis of our favorite flavors of egg nog. So listen away... at your own risk. It's also worth noting that, this time, I attempted to bleep out Mitchy's uses of the F-bomb, though I just gave up when it came to censoring "shit." Hopefully this will keep Apple secret agents from busting down my doors and arresting me for not putting an Explicit tag on our podcast. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#026 – Lawrence Eng Interview
(NOTE: This episode has been renamed due to an admittedly poor choice of words in my original title. Sorry!) We're back with a show recorded merely a week before its release (an amazing record for the Ani-Gamers Podcast). Listen on for my fascinating interview with Dr. Lawrence Eng, a longtime anime fan who chose to pursue his fandom as a line of research when he joined Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)'s "Science and Technology Studies" doctorate program, and focused his dissertation on "otaku studies." In this interview from Genericon XXIII at RPI, I pick Eng's brain on the findings of his research, his own life as an otaku, and a few other topics related to anime fan culture. AGP#025 – Space Racists
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell "MitchyD" Dyer, Elliot Page Topic: "What'cha Been Doing?" We're back, this time with a new format for our shows (and a new hosting service Podbean!). Instead of having What'cha Been Doing? segments before every discussion, we will be recording shorter podcasts dedicated to freeform discussion alongside episodes that only contain a review or a panel discussion. Thus, all of the episodes should clock in at 30-40 minutes, which should hopefully result in an acceleration of our release schedule. And don't you worry &mdash; we'll still be doing our very best to get a variety of guest hosts on the podcast on a regular basis. For this episode, Evan talks with Ani-Gamers staffers Mitchy and Elliot about what we've been watching, reading, and playing. The major discussions include Ode to Kirihito and Mass Effect (the original). By the way, I apologize for some of the weird sound problems (Mitchy's noisy recording and the occasional echoes). They should be fixed for next episode. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#024 – He's Sort of a Stranger
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell "MitchyD" Dyer Topic: Sword of the Stranger (anime, 2008) Today we're talking about Sword of the Stranger, a samurai action anime created by studio BONES, directed by first-time director Masahiro Ando, and distributed in the United States by Bandai Entertainment. Mitchy and I loved this movie to death (a state experienced by more than half its cast), so this episode turned out quite a lot like our Golgo 13 podcast. I'm not sure just yet what we'll be doing next episode, but we definitely want to talk some video games again sometime soon, and our 25th episode milestone IS right around the corner... AGP#023 – A Melodramatic Podcast Revolt
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Hisui (Alain) and Narutaki (Kate) Topic: Shjo anime that appeals to guys This episode is also called "The Answer is ALWAYS Golgo 13!" Today I am joined by the Reverse Thieves (http://ReverseThieves.com), a blogging duo that has probably been on this show more than recommended by most physicians, to discuss shjo anime specifically the kind that can appeal to boys as well as its traditional target audience of girls. The four series up for discussion are Ouran High School Host Club, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Rose of Versailles, and They Were Eleven. I have no idea what's going on for next episode, but I can say that Mitchy has been playing Assassin's Creed 2 and I plan to do the same very soon, and we are both itching to talk about Sword of the Stranger. AGP#022 – There Is a Fly on the Microphone

We talk about what we did at the convention and delve into some totally off-topic conversations that may or may not be completely enthralling. You decide! Next episode will feature Al and Kate from the Reverse Thieves blog (reversethieves.com) as we tackle shjo anime that appeal to male viewers. AGP#021 – The ANN Preview Guide
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Zac Bertschy (www.animenewsnetwork.com), Sean Russell (www.anime3000.com) Topic: The Anime News Network's editorial choice to cover fansubbed anime in their Fall Preview Guide To wash down our long discussion of digital distribution last episode, this time we've got an interview with Zac Bertschy, Executive Editor at the Anime News Network, about a related topic: fansubs. Specifically, my questions revolved around ANN's choice to cover anime that has not been licensed or legally released in America in their Preview Guide&nbsp;&nbsp;a decision which necessitates the use by ANN's paid writers of illegally distributed fansubs. Sean Russell of Anime 3000 kindly recorded the discussion and contributed some of his own thoughts as well. If you've got an opinion on the issue, don't be afraid to let us know in the comments section or through email. AGP#020 – Baki The Grappler/Manabi Straight Fanfics
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell "MitchyD" Dyer, and Patz from TheGamingDungeon.com Topic: Digital Distribution [This episode is NOT censored for swear words or sexual references. Listen at your own risk.] We're back after another whole month between episodes, this time with a big, fat discussion of digital distribution (in terms of both anime and games), featuring none other than The Gaming Dungeon's very own Patz! Mitchy is along for the ride too, discussing his love affair with Steam and his burning hatred of moe shows. This show is a little longer than usual, and my track had some volume balancing trouble, so I apologize for that. Anyway, next episode should actually be out very, very soon, since it's a quick discussion between the Anime News Network's Zac Bertschy, Anime 3000's Sean Russell, and me about fansub reviewing policies that needs to be up on the Internet while it's still relevant to the debate. AGP#019 – Otakon Guests Press Conference
Folks who listened to our last podcast episode will know that Ani-Gamers was unfortunately not approved for any interviews at Otakon 2009. So, to make up for this situation, Evan attended a group press conference held by Otakon Press Ops, with guests Noboru Ishiguro, Masao Maruyama, Yukio Kikukawa, and Hidenori Matsubara. The "press conference" part means that, unlike an interview, this meeting entailed a variety of news outlets taking turns asking questions of the guests. AGP#018 – The Mega-Podcast
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Alain (Hisui), Kate (Narutaki), &amp; Carol (Kohaku) from ReverseThieves.com, and Carl from OgiueManiax.wordpress.com Topic: Otakon 2009 At long last the Ani-Gamers Podcast has woken from its Otakon-induced slumber. Today we've got a mega-podcast (four co-hosts is pretty mega!) that was supposed to be recorded while we were mega-riding the Megabus charter bus service. But since there were so many normal people on the bus, we couldn't record it, and our intrepid bloggers have come together using the power of Skype to send this Otakon 2009 convention report into the great beyond that is the Internet. Unfortunately, Skype is a fickle friend, so we faced off with such problems as echoes and inexplicable audio dropout. The resulting podcast might not sound as great audio-wise as most of our other episodes, but believe me, it took a lot of work to edit it to a point at which it would actually be listenable. Bonus - Otakon Or Bust!
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Karl "Uncle Yo" Custer Topic: Otakon 2009 As a reminder to new listeners, this episode is not the typical style that we use here at the Ani-Gamers Podcast. It's a short, informal episode to let people know that we will be attending Otakon, the largest fan-run anime convention in the United States. (And to tell people what stuff we should be doing while we're there.) If you're going to be at the con, drop us a line at our email address or the blog, and make sure to say hi if you see us around. Sorry about any wonky audio levels, but this episode was recorded and edited very quickly to get it out before the con. AGP#017 – Tokyo Godfathers
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell Dyer Topic: Tokyo Godfathers (2003) This time we're talking about a movie from Evan's favorite anime director: Satoshi Kon (Paprika, Paranoia Agent). The review portion is sort of short compared to the What'cha Been Doing? segment, which is probably because Evan had to rush to go see Star Trek at the end of the episode. Our plans for next episode are not yet solidified, but the goal is to record a whole slew of new episodes at Otakon later this month, and to record a Cowboy Bebop episode featuring Evan, Mitchy, and Karl once the former actually finishes watching the show. AGP#016 – Pinoko Is A Creepy Stalker
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell Dyer, Elliot Page Topic: Black Jack (Manga: JP-1970, NA-2008) In this episode, Mitchy reappears to talk about Osamu Tezuka's Black Jack manga, which we've wanted to review since last fall when it began its English language publication courtesy of Vertical, Inc. Our second guest, Elliot from Luke and Elliot's Bearfighting Extravaganza (lukeandelliot.com), was invited onto the podcast between the first segment and the review, so he joins us for the remainder of the episode. This episode was recorded the weekend after the last episode was released, which seems like a fairly reasonable schedule for the podcast going into the future. Maybe we'll end up doing that. Or maybe I'll just end up not having enough time and the episodes will come out weeks late like usual. Which would be terrible. So, look forward to an attempt at a regular, every-other-week schedule from now on, but don't be surprised if we have to skip a week sometimes. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#015 – The Weak Lose and the Strong Survive
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Kyle Hebert Topic: Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360 - 2009) As promised, this episode features a special guest appearance from anime/game voice actor and podcaster Kyle Hebert (of The Big Bald Broadcast), as he joins Evan to discuss the always fun and often frustrating Street Fighter IV, a game which Kyle starred in as Ryu. I fully recognize that our release schedule is totally screwed up, and I am currently looking at a better way to deal with that. A monthly or once-every-two-weeks schedule might be in our future, though the latter might result in slightly shorter episodes. If you've got a preference for the release schedule and/or show format of future episodes, do let us know by emailing us. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#014 – Offensive to Pretty Much Everyone
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Karl "Uncle Yo" CusterTopics: Natsu no Arashi (2009), Shikabane Hime: Kuro (2009), Ristorante Paradiso (2009), Shangri-La (2009) The formidable Uncle Yo makes his triumphant return to the podcast to help with our Spring 2009 Anime Season preview (and to insult Russians, theatre-goers, pink-haired people, and pretty much everybody else). We've got four different anime up for discussion, as well as our usual "What'cha Been Doing?" and "Link of the Day" segments. Oh yeah, Evan mentions in this episode that we have a contest going on. If you were unclear on how the rules work, go ahead and read up on them in the show notes, or send us an email to clarify. And as a final note: Our next episode will most likely feature the awesome voice actor/podcaster Kyle Hebert as a guest-host. That is, as long as Evan can find a chance to play Street Fighter IV, the topic of our upcoming discussion. Look forward to it. Send us feedback at podcast@anigamers.com! AGP#013 – The Professional
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell "MitchyD" Dyer Topic: The Professional: Golgo 13 (1983) We went well over an hour in this, one of our longest recent episodes. Maybe that's because Mitchy's back, and he and Evan can't help but talk for an hour about awesome things like Golgo 13 and, um, Golgo 13. This episode's got "What'cha Been Doing?," a review of the 1983 anime film The Professional: Golgo 13, and some Links of the Day at the end. What more could you ask for? Maybe a special secret message at the end of the episode. Oh ho ho, but I've already said too much. Oh, and it's a little late to tell everybody, but Evan is going to host/already hosted a panel about blogging and podcasting at Castle Point Anime Convention in Hoboken. If you're going/were there, make sure that you say/said hi. Goddamn, now I'm really confused. AGP#012 – NYCC09 Blogger Roundtable
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Brigid Alverson, Alain a.k.a. "Hisui," Kate a.k.a. "Narutaki," Scott VonSchilling, GregTopics: New York Comic Con 2009 Recorded on the last day of the New York Comic Con, this episode has four other bloggers and Evan talking about our experience at the con, our favorite announcements and events, and our opinions on the state of the anime and manga industries. This was literally a blogger roundtable, as we were bloggers sitting around a round table in the press room. The guests include the folks from Anime Almanac, MangaBlog, and Reverse Thieves. You might notice that Evan forgets to introduce himself at the beginning. For those who are new to the podcast and can't figure it out on their own, he's the EIC of the blog and the host of the podcast. AGP#011b – Goodbye 2008! (part 2)
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Alain a.k.a. "Hisui," Kate a.k.a. "Narutaki" Topics: Fate Tiger Colosseum Upper (Game-PSP), The Daughter of Twenty Faces [or Chiko, Heiress of the Phantom Thief] (Anime-Sub) We've got a really short one this time, as the Ani-Gamers Podcast is invaded by Hisui and Narutaki (real names Alain and Kate) from the Reverse Thieves anime blog (reversethieves.com). These two are here to talk about some overlooked gems from 2008 - including the Capcom game (featuring Type Moon characters) Fate Tiger Colosseum Upper and the BONES anime The Daughter of Twenty Faces. Oh, and see that litle "part 2" in the title? That means that you should listen to podcast #011a, since this episode is sort of a continuation of that one. Sort of. And before anybody asks: yes, Alain and Kate are talking about things that were not released in America, even though our Best of 2008 write-ups had that as a requirement. It's fine - it's not like we're giving out any official awards here. AGP#011a – Goodbye 2008! (part 1)
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Mitchell "MitchyD" Dyer, Karl "Uncle Yo" Custer Topics: Command &amp; Conquer: Red Alert 3 (Game-PC/360), Me and the Devil Blues (Manga), The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk (Anime-Sub) 2009 is finally here, so we're naturally taking a look back at our favorite anime, manga, and video game titles of the past year. The first half of episode #011 (this show) goes in the following order: In Mitchy's segment, he and Evan talk about Mitchy's favorite game, C&amp;C: Red Alert 3. Then the duo moves on to the 2008 manga Evan is currently geeking out over, Me and the Devil Blues. Finally, Karl does a solo recording about The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk. AGP Promo#02
We finally made a second promo! This one is just Evan, because last time we used two people who never actually ended up on the podcast. Oops, false advertising! Luckily for you, Promo#02 is mostly true, because we promise to cure "bad otaku" of their evil ways. Said evil ways may or may not include a "Super Happy Moe-chan" body pillow. If you want us to feature a promo for YOUR podcast, don't hesitate to send us an email at podcast [at] anigamers [dot] com.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/XdbG2ikPEjY" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#010 – Comic Book Legal DEFENSE FORCE
Hosts: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto and Mitchell "MitchyD" Dyer Topics: Playstation Home beta and Christopher Handley's manga obscenity trial As if last episode's mind-bending advance recording didn't confuse you enough, this episode was recorded a full twelve days ago. That means that we're not even thinking about Christmas or our end-of-year top-10 lists, because this was recorded on the 14th. We manage to have some pretty focused discussion in this episode about PS Home and Christopher Handley, so have a listen. For next episode, we might just be doing a big end-of-year episode with Mitchy, Max, and Karl. AGP#009 – On the Mirror's Edge
MitchyD makes his debut appearance on the podcast to review Mirror's Edge with Evan. We pretty much love this game to death, but - believe it or not - we find some problems with it. Also, Links of the Day are in there at the end. As for future shows, I'm going to try to find a guest host to come in and mix things up. If there's anybody you want to hear on the show, email us at podcast@anigamers.com. AGP#008 – MangaNEXT Superpodcast
It seems that we're back on the horse with our release schedule, at least for now. This episode was recorded at MangaNEXT, which started three years ago as the first ever manga-centered convention. An hour or so before I left the con, I pulled together a motley crew of podcasters, bloggers, and (apparently) some random people who were hanging out with us. As such, this episode features a cacophony of awesome sound that your ears just might not be ready for. Hosts include: Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Scott VonSchilling of AnimeAlmanac, DJ Ranma S and Kuro Usagi of the Anime Jam Session podcast, Scott's friend Greg, and two Sailor Moon cosplayers who DJ Ranma invited into the podcast. Show notes? You want SHOW NOTES? The conversation was rambling and unstructured, so how's about I don't give you show notes? Since there aren't any notes, though, you should probably know that Frank Pannone (who kindly provided the opener) is the Managing Editor at anime company Media Blasters. Don't you worry, supplementary links can still be found after that big fat break. Oh, and next episode MitchyD and I are talking about Mirror's Edge. It's already recorded, so get ready!<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/iEZII7qUjHc" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#007 – Unlucky Number Seven
This episode is totally late, seeing as it was actually recorded sometime in mid-October. Anyway, if you think our old shows had audio problems, this one will blow you away. Luckily, the show itself sounds good, but the road to this episode was long and hard. First, Mitchy, Max and I sat down and talked about Shadow of the Colossus. Naturally, Max forgot to hit record. Then, when we tried to rerecord, Mitchy was doing more important, more Canadian things, and couldn't come on the podcast. Next, my ENTIRE HOUSE HAD A BLACKOUT in the middle of the recording of the review segment. We salvaged what we could of the podcast, giving you what you see before you, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the gods of podcasting have not given us permission to talk about Shadow of the Colossus just yet. Stop by podcast.anigamers.com for show notes, supplementary links, and other good stuff.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/JgV8ZBuiByo" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#006 – Tony Oliver, Kyle Hebert, Steve Blum Interview
In this special episode, straight from the 2008 New York Anime Festival, I interview prolific voice actors Tony Oliver, Kyle Hebert, and Steve Blum. All three of them worked on Gurren Lagann (ADR Director, Kamina, and Leeron respectively), but they've also played characters from Robotech, Eureka Seven, Dragonball Z, Cowboy Bebop, The Big O, and even Toonami! On a more technical note, I'd like to extend a special expression of thanks to Kyle and Steve, since when the room we were in didn't have power (hence making my laptop useless), they used their iPhones to record the interview. The recording used in the podcast is from Kyle's phone, so you have him to thank for saving this interview. Okay, funny story: This post's picture (left to right: Tony, me, Kyle, Steve) was actually taken by voice actor Bill Rogers, who I only recognized AFTER I had asked him for the picture. Thanks Bill! AGP#005 – Ghost Hound Review
Here we are at episode five already! Tune in this episode to hear Karl "Uncle Yo" Custer and I ramble aimlessly about the recent psychological drama anime Ghost Hound, Production I.G.'s 20th Anniversary project. We've got the Links of the Day segment thrown in at the end there, but What'cha Been Doing is M.I.A. for this episode. FYI, the audio balancing on this episode is probably going to be criminally off thanks to tech problems with Karl's new mic. Oh, and check us out at New York Anime Festival. Karl and I will be rocking the podcast gig at his artist's alley table, so you pretty much need to come say hi and bring meaning to our purposeless lives. AGP Promo#01
This is a simple, 60-second promo for the Ani-Gamers Podcast recorded by Editor-in-Chief Evan "Vampt Vo" Minto, Contributing News Editor Alex Osborn, and Anime/Manga Reviewer Jessa "MimixRose" Rose. Equip it to your podcast for a +3 Awesome bonus. Also, I'd like to apologize if anyone's been having any problems with the feed. I just changed it over to a new format that gives me more control, so that problem should only be temporary.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/gtf7DXlC0X0" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#004 – E3 2008 Analysis (Awkward Pauses edition)
So, alright, this is the, um, first "n-normal" episode of the Ani-Gamers.............Podcast? Yes, Maxwell "Pigeonflu" McGee (my gracious co-host) and I will be the first to admit: This episode is fraught with awkward pauses and radio no-no's (so, like, um, alright, basically) On the bright side, there is only one audio error this time! In this episode, Max and I sit down for a whopping hour and a half to talk about the latest (not really) news on Ani-Gamers, the big E3 announcements, and of course, what we've been playing, watching, and reading. Enjoy, because this is one of the few episodes that we will do in a traditional podcast format. As usual, show notes and links are on the blog.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/zJ644-PXdZ8" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>

AGP#003 – Fansubbing Panel w. Greg Ayres
What's this? An episode of the podcast that comes out less than three months after the last one? BLASPHEMY I say! This particular episode contains voice actor Greg Ayres' AnimeNEXT 2008 panel, "Fansubbing." It's all about the negative effect of fansubs on the American anime industry, and Greg really gets his point across well. Listen. You owe it to yourself. Also, I sat down next to Scott from AnimeAlmanac for the duration of the panel. He had just finished his interview with Ayres, which you can read about in the show links. AGP#002 – Interview with Drummonds and Swaile at AN08
At long last I have found the guts (and the technology) to publish episode two of the podcast. This episode features my hour-long press conference with voice actors Brian Drummond, Aidan Drummond, and Brad Swaile. Since there were only two other news outlets in the room, it was almost like a private interview, which was quite awesome. The other interviewers were the hosts from the Anime Jam Session podcast and two reporters from Montclair University's newspaper. Remember to check the Ani-Gamers blog for show notes, images, and supplementary links.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AniGamersPodcast/~4/6TcLzh-NB7s" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>
